By the way, that was an Autohome RTT, Two more Fj Utility racks and 4 ARB awnings on top. We drove 2 hours on the highway Like this with no problems.

    Thread revival!

Looking to have a few questions answered as I'm looking at this rack for my '15 DCSB.

    1) For those that have a XM antenna, can you provide me the measurement the rack sticks up *past* the top of the shark-fin? (have a low ceiling in the garage and its pretty tight already, but I think it will fit!)

    2) Has anyone else suffered from dramatic wind noise? Is this more of one off issues or wide-spread?

    3) Anyone else experienced QC issues? Bent rack? Chipped powdercoat?

    Thanks!

-If you remove the visor, wind noise is pretty severe. With it on, its not bad, although noticeable when driving in strong gusty conditions.

-The powdercoating on mine has fared poorly, despite the fact that the rack was used almost exclusively to haul a composite canoe. It's rusted pretty badly, with numerous bubbles forming around the welds, even in areas where the integrity of the coating didn't appear to be compromised. I've had the rack about 2 years, and it was bad enough after one year that I removed it and attempted to slow the corrosion by applying a spray-on bedliner. No Luck.

I'd definitely have gone with a different product- Frontrunner or Prinsu or something. I doubt I could resell the rack as is and it was a fair chunk of change.

How long was your on before you started to see issues with the PC?

I had mine for about 4 years and just sold last weekend. I never had problems with the PC or bending and I loaded it with canoes, kayaks, coolers, chairs, and wood for extended trips. For the price I thought it was a good product.

Probably had it for a year before I noticed anything major. Must've gotten a bad one.

Save yourself the trouble and buy a Gobi,Baja racks are cheap (china made) racks,Baja Rack's themselves seem to be always out of stock,Im guessing due too the fact that it take's month's for the next ship from China too get here.I ordered a basket one of the rack's from Ok4wd waited 2 month's and was sent the flat instead, sent it back and was told it would be a few month's before the one I ordered would be availible. No Thank's.

    Incorrect statement.

    Bajaracks are made in Mexico.

Plus Gobi is a bad company.
