Which one was it? I've had a handheld (not exactly a 'plug and go' chip) and I could manipulate a few things but I hardly got more horsepower or anything.

I've heard good things about the Unichip, but it's no 69 bucks

More like almost 600...but it might be worth it to you, especially if you have a lot of bolt ons.

Those things are nothing more than snake oil. Think about it, if it only cost $69.00 to add say 5-10 HP to a vehicle or MPG gains, don't you think most manufacturers would add the chip or modify the ECU programming?

No, unless you are a turbo diesel... Which I doubt you are.

They work very well. Got me to 35mpg and faster than a corvette. I can now out-pull a cummins over the Rockies. But I'm also running a throttle body spacer.

IF IF IF a programming change gave you more mpg then you would be giving up hp, and IF IF IF it gave you more hp you would give up mpg and or longevity. As others have said, if it was that easy then Toyota would have already done it.
