My 95 pre-Tacoma 4 banger got 22 with a tail wind, but with a head wind could not get out of it's own way... I kept it for 18 years hoping for the hilux to come to the states, finally got the tacoma. oh well

The only thing that I do not like on my Tacoma is the 31" antenna. It hits the opened garage door every time I park in the garage. I am going to look for a 21" flexable replacement.

Antenna was too long on my 2013. Replaced with a 14". The steering wheel doesn't extend far enough or tilt high enough. My 2003 TRD was perfect in that respect. I'm 6'3" and drive with the seat all the way back.

Access to the cab, the tilt and telescoping steering wheel are almost stationary. I have to shimmy in P.I.A.

My '94 got 18.
My '08 gets 24+

Someone is doing something right.

But even at only 18, burning 18 of the 21 gallons (a gallon into the low fuel light) is over 300 miles.

I got a 95 as well. (Got it new!) my steering wheel doesn't telescope either. But it's a pleasure to drive. I get anywhere from 18-24 both highway and town driving. It's a 6 cyl.

I must have purchased a lemon. Only 7000 miles and I have lost my 4 wheel drive. Hubs grind when I spin the wheels in mud! Also, there is an air "PUMP" on the passenger side that makes electronic type noises when I start and shut off my vehicle. It sounds like a damn transformer. Took it in to have the first oil change, pointed it out to the tech and they replaced the part. When it started again a few days later The Dealer tells me it is "completely normal". I've been working with the factory and the engineers and they have decided that it will just make that noise. BOOOOOO trying to return it as we speak. I am not paying $30,000 for a defective machine

I wish it had about 30-40 more horsepower. It may be the most practical vehicle family vehicle I have owned as far as having the short bed and double cab, but I can't fall in love with it. I don't know why. It has less than 10,000 miles and I can't seem to get past a car lot without shopping. It does hold its value well. Most places are offering very close to what I paid.

There were a few things i didn't like but no real issues. One was that the doors don't automatically lock when you start to drive like in most cars now. The second is that only the driver's side window has the one touch window down but it doesn't have the one touch window up? They aren't big deals but I do find having to hold my finger on the window switch a bit taxing

I wonder why they stick with an external antenna? This is a vehicle that most use off road where the antenna hits things and gets bent. Why not go with a windshield antenna like most vehicles. My 2013 get lossy reception FM. Much worse than my other vehicles.

I dont like the cheap seats

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy and install aftermarket
"8 way adjustable Seats" the dealers in San Jose and Burlingame can not give me a straight answer?
i am willing to pay for new seats to be installed after I buy a new 2013 vehicle, i just need to meet the people who can do the job. I am about to buy a new 2013 Tacoma this week, but i will not, unless i can get this done by a shop that does aftermarket work,

Tacoma transmission problems

New to forums and such and don't even know how to post but am learning Here's my question, How many of you have had transmission problems??
I have a 2006 Tacoma, just had my transmission worked on, it was vibrating and having trouble going into 3rd, I Googled it and found lots of Tacoma owners with that problem, my transmission guy did the same and said their were thousands of us with the same problem, he said the NTSB had been contacted but itís not ďa safety problemĒ so not their thing. Any of you Tacoma owners out there attorneys??? How about a Class Action Lawsuit? Toyota has had the same problem since at least 2003 and up to 2012. If anyone wants to get a Class Action Lawsuit going I'd be in, how many others of us have bought Tacoma's for the dependablity, only to have to get the trannie worked on at 61,000 miles,I've had fords, chryslers, chevy's, buicks, and all of their transmissions have lasted over 100,000 and beyond, I love Mr. Burple but am very disappointed in Toyota
