I must have purchased a lemon. Only 7000 miles and I have lost my 4 wheel drive. Hubs grind when I spin the wheels in mud! Also, there is an air "PUMP" on the passenger side that makes electronic type noises when I start and shut off my vehicle. It sounds like a damn transformer. Took it in to have the first oil change, pointed it out to the tech and they replaced the part. When it started again a few days later The Dealer tells me it is "completely normal". I've been working with the factory and the engineers and they have decided that it will just make that noise. BOOOOOO trying to return it as we speak. I am not paying $30,000 for a defective machine

I wish it had about 30-40 more horsepower. It may be the most practical vehicle family vehicle I have owned as far as having the short bed and double cab, but I can't fall in love with it. I don't know why. It has less than 10,000 miles and I can't seem to get past a car lot without shopping. It does hold its value well. Most places are offering very close to what I paid.

There were a few things i didn't like but no real issues. One was that the doors don't automatically lock when you start to drive like in most cars now. The second is that only the driver's side window has the one touch window down but it doesn't have the one touch window up? They aren't big deals but I do find having to hold my finger on the window switch a bit taxing

I wonder why they stick with an external antenna? This is a vehicle that most use off road where the antenna hits things and gets bent. Why not go with a windshield antenna like most vehicles. My 2013 get lossy reception FM. Much worse than my other vehicles.

want to buy a 2013 tacoma double cad 4x4 when i retire.. in 15 months... I just retire now i want the Tacoma BUT i want 8 way adjustable seats?
Does anyone know if it is possible to buy and install aftermarket
"8 way adjustable Seats" the dealers in San Jose and Burlingame can not give me a straight answer?
i am willing to pay for new seats to be installed after I buy a new 2013 vehicle, i just need to meet the people who can do the job. I am about to buy a new 2013 Tacoma this week, but i will not, unless i can get this done by a shop that does aftermarket work,

New to forums and such and don't even know how to post but am learning Here's my question, How many of you have had transmission problems??
I have a 2006 Tacoma, just had my transmission worked on, it was vibrating and having trouble going into 3rd, I Googled it and found lots of Tacoma owners with that problem, my transmission guy did the same and said their were thousands of us with the same problem, he said the NTSB had been contacted but it’s not “a safety problem” so not their thing. Any of you Tacoma owners out there attorneys??? How about a Class Action Lawsuit? Toyota has had the same problem since at least 2003 and up to 2012. If anyone wants to get a Class Action Lawsuit going I'd be in, how many others of us have bought Tacoma's for the dependablity, only to have to get the trannie worked on at 61,000 miles,I've had fords, chryslers, chevy's, buicks, and all of their transmissions have lasted over 100,000 and beyond, I love Mr. Burple but am very disappointed in Toyota

I dislike not having heated side mirrors, no rear defrost, no MPG display, the placement of the cruise control switch, and easily scratched paint job.

Two trips to the dealer to get the tailgate latch fixed on a 2013 Prerunner. Both times it lasted a week. I bought some lithium grease and fixed myself. It came from he factory with no lubrication! Brakes squeal. There's a clicking or popping sound when I make a right turn. I had a 96 and a 2003. Both were of higher quality than this one.

Never understood the skid-plate package, when really its a flimsy piece of aluminum guarding nothing nothing more than a few inches of bumper trim. I was really hoping the extra $400.00 or whatever I spent on it would've extended it back to the transfer case, and fuel tank.

The payment. These used to be inexpensive trucks.

I dislike the fact that the spare tire and the tailgate don't automatically come with locks on them, especially considering the price I paid for the truck. That's about it.
