I was wondering if anyone has had any experience actually using this heads up display and have got it actually working with their taco or any other vehicle really.

    2007 Tacoma Sport

I know that these headsup displays are a waste of money to most people and i know alot of yall wanna just tell me to throw it out. Just know I am very particular with what i want in truck and really want to get this stupid thing working.

My problem is that it seems like my unit is forever trapped in demo mode and the instructions are in REALLY broken english and there seems to be something it is trying to say about accessing the PC side of my car system or something. I really am not sure and dont know if its defective or if i just dont get it.

It is OBD II interface speedo trapped in demo mode. I turn the car on and off and dosnt really care. it turns off on its own sometimes, and then never really comes back on unless I restart the unit. The car being on or off dosnt really matter.

I am fairly sure i just missed something so if anyone knows what i am missing please let me know!

here are some pics of the product and the page out of the manual

It seems the unit is supposed to automatically go through a power test, which it sort of looks like it trys to do this and then turns off, but then never responds to my vehicle ignition or ever reads anything for that matter. Everything is at zero

after research i realized you have to be very careful who you buys these from. make sure they have reviews and people say their products are working.

Hopefully HUD tech will be manufactured here more in the future or the Chinese brands will become more reliable. ActiSafety is having a hard time breaching the language barrier as far as american compatibility
