Digital Camera suggestions

I would like to get an inexpensive digital camera to leave in the truck for unexpected things - accidents that need quick documenting, rare sights from the road, other Tacomas, etc.
I do not own a cell phone with a camera and I don't care to own one either.
I am kinda of a luddite, but am willing to open the door a crack to let in a camera.

It makes sense that your bought a Tacoma.
Current gen cool pix at that 80/90 price range. I don't think they have different models except maybe color wise at that price point.

Got the Nikon. Thanks for the suggestions/references.

Could have used it a ton today:
- DRL mod.
- Eagle flying overhead searching for food.
- seeing my doppelganger x2, same place/same time.
- some bad ass military vehicles for sale to the public.
