I went to open my hood the other day and noticed that I had left the cable unhooked during my heated mirror install. In order to get the lower dash off to reinstall it, I had to take a bunch of other things out first to get to the left bolt, including the WeatherTech floor liner.

The next day I drove to work, which is around 20 miles, 3 of which are on the highway, with speeds up to 70 mph. Drove back to town after work and stopped at the grocery for a few things. When I came out, I glanced in the bed and there was the WeatherTech, right where I had stupidly left it!!

I'm pretty impressed that it hadn't blown out during all that driving. I did think I saw something pop past the rear window at one point, but I may have imagined that.

Always good to be smarter than the Tool you're using.
