Has anyone thought to consider this.......Lets say the blocker really works. It doesnt, but lets say it DOES. Coppers can no longer see your plate. You have a "Pass" to blow thru red lights. NOW.......Lets say your truck is stolen. The Coppers want to know your licens plate number, so they can find your truck. You give it to them....BUT THEY CANT READ IT NOW, because you put that BLOCKER crap on it!

    DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree about not breaking the law. Red light running is a big problem in my town and probably all over the country. My problem is the cities don't put the cameras up in the interest of public safety, they do it to generate income. Basically it's a tax.

But its catching law breakers and making them pay. I would rather they pay then me. Yes we pay initially to install them but then they generate money.

Oh and those that think it works you can call my buddy and ask him what he thinks of his. First night with it he got a ticket. Or should I say his picture taken then a ticket in the mail. It did make it look fuzzy but not enough. If your gonna do it go big and pull the damn plate off. Or here is a crazy idea...... wait for the light to turn green. Weird I know.

LoL you guys swear you never commited a traffic violation, in the DMV manual all it says is come to a complete stop (which I did) doesnt specify how long or how many seconds

either way its like the other guy said they dont put it in with the interest of safety, its to generate money

some of this, a little of that

I have committed traffic vioations and both gotton away and been caught. I do agree that the cameras are installed for the public safet" however serve also to generate revenue. I think they do work to curb some of the worst red light runners, people turning the corner like yourself are caught in a gray area on how long to hold the complete stop before going again.

I don't think you're lying, but I bet you are mistaken. It may have felt like you stopped, but you might have been going very slow when you made the transition.

In Louisiana, you are better off paying the fine because it doesn't go on your record as a moving violation, then again, the tickets here are only $100.

how long were you at a "complete stop"

did the truck settle back and you immediately hit the gas?

typically i think LEO look for about 2 sec of complete stoppage

A assume you were turning right on a red, your description does not state that. If so, I believe (in AZ at least) that there is no minimum length of time for which you have to stop.
