I have decided to buy some sliders for my DC Taco. I am going to be replacing my side steps with them. The one question that I have is:

My wife is short. She needs something to step on so she can get into my truck. I have a 6" lift on it. I need a set of sliders that have enough of a step on them so she can get in and out of the truck. What suggestions do you guys have for me as in manufacturer and brand to get? I prefer bolt on's that will simply bolt into the existing holes that are already in place for my tube steps. Thanks a lot.

Your tube steps most likely bolt to the body (cab) at a few locations. Sliders will use the side holes in the frame and require drilling 4 more per rail. (in most bolt on applications) Here is a thread on sliders.

I've been PMing a guy who has the same step issue. I told him he could most likely find some bolt on steps at places like ORW, or I could make a step that bolts to the right slider, and can be loosened, swung upward and retightened when wheeling.

Anytime. If you chose sliders that don't have this step option for your lady, PM me and I can build you a bolt on, swing up step for a cheap price.

None, factory diff lockers are great.
Let me know if you find anything on this one. I'm looking for something like that for my truck.

Brian, the wide sliders that you make......is there an "overlap" from the door jam so at least she could put the ball of her foot on to "step" on to get into the truck? I dont necessarily need steps. Just something that she can put a foot on to help her get into the truck. Thanks.
