I would contact All Pro and use whatever their kit uses. Some kits have issues with clearing the coils so the 2.5 might be too wide. If it is LT you should be ok cause the upper arm is wider but you want to make sure before buying the shocks

Ya, well what i am worried about right now is that my tie rod is really close to my coil now and they are a 2.5. So i just wanted to try and gain some clearance.

I got a procomo 6" and I like it it rides little stiff but I think thats just the way toyotas suspension is. Cause its stock shocks and springs. They just added spacer to it. I went with procomp cause I wanted to run 18" on 35" and it was cheaper fabtech you could run with 17" rims . Reason being procomp changes your spindle not allowing to to use 17"

Since when? i am running a 17 with my fabtech. Ya id get rid of that spacer asap. That going to cause nothing but problems.

edit: sorry mis read that. But fabtech changes the spindle as well.

I almost went fabtech before I went LT. I am so glad I didn't go with the fabtech kit.:D The guys on TTORA helped me out a lot! I wanted something that would give me a good lift, but at the same time good suspension performance. So I said screw it lets go LT!:D

the drop bracket kits don't do much for off road performance if you all search it out. you get more ground clearance with a three inch lift a 33 inch tires than you do a 6 inch drop bracket lift and 35 inch tires. i think there other complete kits are fine though plenty of people run them and they just work same goes for procomp.

now i have heard that rcd is nice as far as drop bracket kits go i believe it's of the best quality.

All you guys with the thumbs up for the 6" Fabtech lift: did you go with their shocks or another mfg or coilovers???? Thanks!

P.S.: why do the Tacomas need 17" and up wheels when they're lifted appreciably? I'm kinda bummed that if I go for a 6" kit that I'll have to sell my 16" TRD beadlocks :notsure:

Don't most of the 3" lifts center around coilover spacers and either an AAL or new spring pack? I have heard the front spacer type lift is kind of taboo, especially if you do any kind of vigorous wheeling, as some nasty damage can result

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

No not really but most 6" lifts use blocks in the rear and a big ass spacer in the front unless you go with a stage 2 setups. and those are $$$$$

depends on what kit you use ive got the fat coilover 8" kit on my f-350 and i have launched that thing off some sand dunes with no trouble at all, its largely the installer too, i had a shop put a donahoe 6" on my last f-350 (donahoe is hands down the best kit built for the fords) and because the tech that installed it was in a hurry or half retarded it had squeeks, rattles and shit wore out before it should. i think it kinda comes down to you get what you pay for is there 600.00 lift any good? hell no but neither is anyone elses cheapass lift, there isnt a cheap one on the market that is going to work as well as a 3-6k lift cheap lifts are great for beauty but they dont improve enough suspension component to get beat on off road.

Spoken like someone who doesnt have a Fabtech Lift. Lol. I love my 6'' Fabtech Performance Lift. I have Fabtech Coilovers up front and extended shocks in the rear. Also have a 3'' body lift. My truck is supreme in any terrain. You will pay more for a drop bracket lift, and technically you may not gain GC because of the Drop Bracket, but at 9'' of lift my truck drives like a Caddy, no BS, but can also conquer anything I drive in to :) with ease. Don't think I've used 4wd but a handful of times to keep it lubed up.

fabtech doesn't make anything for hardcore offroading. I have used their products before moving on to other suspension products. they are good for simple lifts and clearance for street queens. quality and price is decent if that is what you are looking for. if you are looking for go fast performance look elsewhere.

Sorry, but I strongly disagree. Maybe the 1st Gen kits are as you say.
