One of the rivets snapped in one of the bracket holes on mine. I think another member posted in another thread that he ended up using sheet metal screws for the hood brackets as well. Going to try to finish installing this week using that method.

The struts lift a little higher than stock. You may want to install a strap for closing.

Go ahead and buy them! This mod is well worth the price:D

I only noticed this page by fluke, since he didn't post it in the group buy section. How disappointing....

One of the rivets snapped when installing one of the brackets.
Ended up using sheet metal screws instead.
Seems to be holding up real well, and much easier to install.

You need to enter both the coupon codes, not just the one.

The website wasn't working so I emailed them and they were nice enough to send me an invoice via email.

Seemed easy to work with via email.

Next time anyone that sees this type of thread should get the mods to put it in the group buy section so others can take advantage.

I doubt another is coming anytime soon. It was quite a production to get it extended just a couple days.

I have to say though, I installed mine and am very happy with it. Minor rivet gun issues (I lost one of the stems into the engine bay :( impossible to find...

Much better access to the engine now, well worth it in my opinion.

I hate when stuff like that happens. Lost a plastic clip once in the engine bay and bugged me for days lol

Does it seem plenty secure with the rivets or do you think screws would be better as another member posted earlier in the thread?

If done correctly rivets are more secure than screws:cool:
