That truck already has chopped bedsides.

Eric, good job on the rear bumper [IMG]. It looks nice. I can't wait to see painted and installed pictures.

Honestly for people with this "I want a High clearance but don't want to get rid of my factory tow package" problem please read the previous posts... I'm not bashing just making a statement and a suggestion. (It's what i will do) When i order my R-Fab rear bumper i will order it with a hitch, tire gate, small reverse light holes, and tow points, then take off all hardware for my tow hitch and sell it for a better value then what toyota will sell it to you for and guess what... its a TOYOTA FACTORY ITEM! How bout that! Honestly the people at my Toyota dealership love me so much that they would probably sell it to someone for me! Its just a thought.. If you want it, you want it, thats your thing just don't expect a "HIGH CLEARANCE" bumper... Anyways for my actual post its almost the end of the week... can we at least get an update on production Eric?

BTW... This is not to pun anyones concerns with their factory hitch... Completely MY opinions...

    Alright Edgar. PMing you.
Good looking truck, and soon to be even more good looking! ;) :)
    Thanks Anton.
    Expect pics tomorrow or Saturday!
Well, I can and will be putting hitches on these....
LOL, thanks for the input, man.
I agree, you cant really have both worlds; either you just keep it stock, or go right to aftermarket with higher clearance and add a compatible hitch with whatever bumper ordered. For mine, the hitch will have to be ordered with the bumper because it will be integrated/welded together. And sure, I cant rate my towing capacity with the hitch, but it will be pretty beefy.

I dont know about the other "hitch guys" but I dont really care about clearance. I just like the idea of having an armored rear bumper as opposed to plastic. Cant wait to see the pics!

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I love the burliness and the design and finish work of the front bumper, and so it is a no-brainer for me to consider getting the rear from Eric as well. I'm glad we'll be able to order this with some type of receiver (even if not OEM). For me personally, beef, retaining tow capability, recovery points, and good looks are more important than clearance...but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the need for clearance, nor the clever way it is done with this bumper. :)

i'm also in the category of wanting a stouter rear bumper that will bolt up with the OEM hitch. if i were truly concerned with clearance, i would chop the rear fenders and go true high clearance. ideal bumper for me is one that looks good, retains hitch/rated cpapcities, and can take a little bashing if need be. it would be different if the truck weren't my DD and i did more wheeling.

i guess what i'm looking for is a replacement bumper that offers better looks/strength than stock with recovery points and also lets me keep my hitch. i have to keep it practical...unfortunately my truck is used more for utility than recreation :pout: ...which is going to be the case for most folks on TW IMO.

i do like the lines of your bumper Eric...looks great! keep innovating and keep up the good work!

maybe a rear bumper for us low clearance guys  in the future? you would be the first company to offer one as far as i know.

edit: also interested in the future skidplates.

Supposedly the Kennesaw Mountain MultiCarrier will accept a standard aftermarket receiver:

Nice looking bumper -- I'd rather have Relentless tho!

thank you, but i have already investigated these. i have yet to see an aftermarket receiver that is as stout as OEM. been hoping ARB would make one, but would also rather support a TW member's business. :)

    Yep.
so what would hitches with aftermarket bumpers be rated at? I would think they would be just as much as an oem being made as they are....????

Paint is drying on the bumper. Pics as soon as it's dried and mounted on my truck. :D

CNC said he'd work on it Friday, but never followed up friday afternoon to see if he ever got around to it. I'll check 1st thing monday because I already got a deposit on a rear bumper so I need to have him finish the 'R' and cut out a bumper with it for me! :)
