Its looking like the best thing to do is bump it to July; I'm moving in about a week, and then I have some orders I need to get caught up on before opening the GB for the 1st gen armor.
It will be happening soon though!

    Sounds good man.
R u moving to Reno?! If so, that's good news for me cuz I take trips to Tahoe all the time. Guess I can just pick up my bumper instead of having it shipped. Sweet! :D

Hey man do you have any other pictures of the bumpers on the 1st gen's? I was checking the website too but there are only 2nd gens. Also, your freight shipping, for "pacific" does that include Alaska?

So what would 98-00 owners have to do to fit your bumper (which I really like by the way...)?

Eric, any idea when you will have the headlight/grill protection done I want to see a finished piece or at least a cad drawing or something of what it will look like before I decide.

    Thanks!

PS don't forget the sliders with the "1/2" kick-out also. At least a drawing so I can be for sure one way or another.

A front bumper wasn't really in my plans this soon, but I am very interested in the group buy. I'll be patiently waiting for this to open up. :cookiemonster:

Not at the moment. The ones posted are all I have so far, but there are orders for more sitting in my build list right now so once those are out I'll have more. Sorry, the shipping quote for Pacific time zone is the lower 48, Alaska would probably start at around $150 for shipping via Fastenal if you happened to be near one of their stores.
I'll be looking into this shortly, and will have full details as to what needs to be done, or if possible I'l have a complete bolt on bumper available once I see the mounting differences.
    Rob,
    I'll get pics ASAP.
    Alright, sounds good. :)

Well I'll be damned there is a fastenal down the road. I saw the pictures you posted of your G/F's truck, (I think, it's the red one), dope bumper! I'll see what the price ends up being with the group buy. I'm hoping it's too expensive because I just ordered OME 881's, not sure I can dick with switching them.

I'll be watching the thread like a stalker though.

Very interested. I'm in need of a new bumper anyway. I have a few questions on details because I'm intrigued by the aluminum opiton. I'll want it with the full hoop.

    Any pictures of the back?

It's full aluminum, even the recovery points? How will that hold up versus steel?

Winching? I'm looking to get a Superwinch Talon 9500. Will it be good to go?

    Thanks

I'll try and find a pic, not sure if I have one at the moment. Yes, completely aluminum. The recovery points are 1" solid aluminum, and welded thorough the front plate so there are welds in front, back, and to the sides on the upright plates inside the bumper. The downside to aluminum is its softer, so it scratches on rocks and trees easier, thats about it. I've had no issues with winching off my aluminum bumpers, the key is designing them to transfer and distribute loads, they're pretty tough!
Sounds good. I just moved to Nevada so that has held the GB a little, need to get caught up on some previous orders first then its going to happen after that!

Thanks for the response. I'm not a hard core wheeler anymore and not interested in rock crawling like I used to be. My taco is for family trips so I think the aluminum will be perfect. I figure I will get it powder coated locally.

No rush, I'm patiently waiting for the GB. My current bumper got slightly bent by a city bus, can hardly tell its bent. He ran into me at slow speed. So the bumper will be partially covered by that, yeah for me. Thanks
