Well I will not be dealing with Rockauto any more.

I called to return the bolts since the second set is also wrong. The first lady I spoke to was a bit rude and refused to help me over the phone. She said I need to go on the website and go through the return process there. The first return I did over the phone without an issue, but apparently their policy must have changed in 5 days. So I went online. After a bunch of questions I received a message stating that my return would be reviewed and someone would contact me in a couple of days. I didn't want to wait so I called back. This time I received someone else who was much nicer, however still gave me a bit of a hard time. I told him what was wrong with the second set and he started to question the chances that I received two sets of defective parts. I then told him that I'm active on multiple forums and that this is an ongoing issue with these Moog parts. He tried to make me feel like it was my issue stating they sold 58 pieces in the past 6 months and I'm the only one who's had a problem. At this point I was pissed and frustrated, I told him to just email me the shipping label and return my money, I don't want another set, and I don't want Rockauto credit because after this I will never buy from you guys again. He sent me a return label but I have to wait till they have the parts back in their possession to get my refund........ Needless to say, I will be going with OEM parts.

 

I've had problems with them and refunds as well.

They're actually one of my favorite parts sources.

 

I've bought from them countless times without issue. The first set of Moog bolts was the first time I'd ever had an issue. They were great with the first replacement. It was the second set being returned where I got the attitude. The 2nd guy giving me sales stats and stating that mine were the only ones wrong was what really ticked me off. When I returned the first set, over the phone without issue, the guy pulled it up on the computer and stated to me that they've had a really high defective return rate on these. So obviously the first guy saw something, and there's obviously been returns and issues from people here. Maybe it was because I wanted a refund and not a replacement or credit.

The metal cam adjuster is just weak material. It is easily stripped out by adjusting the alignment bolts. The OEM metal is significantly thicker and higher quality, plus they are splined on to the bolts so they don't "wallow out.

 

Both of my passenger side cam and tie rod adjustment were seized. I just finished replacing those. The driver side came apart just fine.
Should I bother replacing those?

 

I replaced them anyways. I'll keep the OEM for spare.

 

So what is the deal with the greasable kit. Has this thing been straightened out. Anyone know where I can stock replacements?

 

You should be able to get the correct washers in the kits now but double check when they arrive.

Where can you get stock replacements (if that's what you mean). Local dealership or one of the online sellers like camelback Toyota, just Google it.

 

Thank you. Went ahead and checked camel back yesterday after I posted here. Ordered up the oem and will either grease them or never seize and just touch em up once a year.

 

Check Lucas Red'n'Tacky, I believe it's got anti seize in it. #twobirds

 

What'll that do versus plain ole antisieze?

 

I lifted my truck 2 weeks after buying it and I antiseized and greased the shit out of everything alignment wise! Going to take the lowers back out in a couple weeks to regrease and realign. Hoping doing this once a year or 2 will keep me from needing to replace shit.
