Toyota Rear Axle Truss

Here we are, along the same lines of all our Crowned Trusses. This is the truss all Toyota guys have been waiting for!

This one, just like all of ours is shaped for maximum strength. The Crowned back will help keep your axle straight for years to come and if you combine it with the top truss you can feel free to jump it!

The truss is made from 3/16" steel and the fill hole access port completely protects the plug. They are meant to be welded full length. Start in the middle with 4" welds on top and bottom then heavy tack it everywhere. Then work from the outside in with 3" stitches alternating top to bottom until done.

These are slightly thicker than the housing and will definitely make that axle last til you are ready!

Is this kit for 2005+ tacomas? If so I'm interested.

And has there been any real world testing with this kit?

This is the same truss we have been using for 5 years on all of our axles and it is the same except in one area. The difference is we made it thicker. It is 3/16" thick.

We have used it on the very similar Ford 9" for 3 years without failure. It has been on 50% of all of our housings that have went out the door (Over 900 housings) in that time.

It will not fit the newest housings with the 3.25" tubes, it is for the 3" axles. We will have a 3.25" model in a month or so...

I don't think it will work on 2nd Gen Tacomas, I think they use the "8.4" diff that has the bearing back brace and deep bump on the back of the housing. Would be a lot of cutting and grinding to get it to fit.

I put one on my 4th Gen 4runner housing, had to do a little grinding and I got it to fit BUT 4 runners use the "V6 8" diff"
