Not bad, I wouldn't go dual out of the rear though, I'd get the dual side exit one they offer. Did you listen to the Rouch clip?

Never been a huge fan of side-exits...
Seems like everything I've ever ridden in with side dumps gets a lot of cab resonance. The sole exception where I enjoyed it was riding in a 60's Corvette with side pipes.

When my stock one goes I'll probly go Flowmaster..don't care enough to replace it unless I have to anyway. Back in the day I had Thrush Sonic turbos on my Camaro, still fairly quiet until you floorboarded it.

Hmmm, wonder how Super Trapps would sound haha

They don't sound half bad. I'd be concerned with rust though.

Noel, when I say side exit, I mean same place as stock, not the one that cuts out in front of the rear tire. I know those are loud, that's what I had in the Chevy.

Succeeded in removing the stock skid plates with only one shearing off (driver's side radiator support bolt), but it's a simple work around with a longer bolt and some washers

Chased everything else with a tap, and put the stock hardware back in after wire brushing it and putting gobs of anti seize on them. Can't wait to get my skids so I can put the stainless hardware in and not worry.

Ah, I see. I thought you were talking about the ones that dump out right behind the cab. Those bitches'll rattle your teeth out of your head on a long highway drive.

Edit 3/16: Sale pending to Alex (emelianenkov)

Anyone interested in a set of Nitto Terra Grappler P285/70R17 tires? Time for replacements. They have about 45,000 miles on them. Still have some tread but might be good starter set for moving up in tire size for someone that wants to check clearance etc... or I could split them up if a few guys are looking for 33" spare.

Located in Cheshire CT (near Waterbury in mid western CT).

$100 for all four or $30 each. Or make me an offer. They are still on my truck but will be buying replacements within the next month. Want to be sure I can get rid of these before I tell the tire shop I want to keep them.

All of the exhaust talk today inspired me to shoot a quick vid if my 69. On my phone, so not super high audio quality. It's got headers into true duals but just NAPA generic mufflers. I'm considering swapping in a set of Borlas or Flowmasters instead, but I kind of like how it sounds right now too.

Sounds great Noel! I'd go with a flowmaster setup.

My mom's 64 fairlane has a flowmaster dual setup I believe, but she might have an x-pipe setup.

Sounds like that D100 has a cam in it, any other engine work?

Nothing beats the sound of old Chrysler products... Always reminds me of the beginning of Hot For Teacher.

Yeah, it was tuned a little bit when the previous owner had the engine rebuilt a few thousand miles ago. It got stripped down to a bare block and given an acid bath, bored .030 over with forged internals and was given a mild cam (actually the stock cam on a 340), nothing outrageous but it added a nice bit of lope over a stock 318. The manifolds were ported and polished and the stock two barrel was replaced with a 600 CFM Edelbrock Performer Quad to help it breathe a little better. The PO wasn't mechanically inclined, so he had a professional engine shop do the work. He had the receipts and everything for the engine rebuild; all told it came close to what I paid him for the truck!

Plus when I shot the video it hadn't warmed up all the way, which adds to the lopey idle.

Yeah, for sure. I've always loved the idle of a 383 w/a high lift cam.

I had a Magnaflow exhaust on my Grand Am. Sounded like a V8 at lower RPMs.

My Trans Am also came with a Magnaflow as part of the WS-6 package. It was quiet while normal driving, but I could easily drown out a ricer when I stepped on it.

Yup..or there's the start of Primus' "Jerry Was A Race Car Driver" for good exhaust sounds.

Just got home. Terrible day for a funeral, but the family are what's important. Service went without a hitch (minus my step brother's knees letting go and him almost knocking my grandpa's casket over... Crisis averted)

Tough day, but he looked like the grandpa I will always remember him as, and that's all that matters. The funeral home did a wonderful job and though it sucked in the rain, I couldn't be more proud to help carry such an amazing man to his final resting place. He's home now :)
