Hey guys, I currently have an Extang Solid Fold on my 2015 DCLB and I've been thinking about switching to a Cap... looking at ARE Z-series. Anythoughts? Pros/Cons one way or another?

Think long and hard about how you're going to use the truck. Caps add some security and keep things nice and clean in your bed. Plus if you add a rack on top, hauling canoes whatever and organization becomes much simpler. It'll turn your truck into an SUV without the seats. I've always added them to my trucks and could never go back to an open bed again. Currently have a leer and its nice. If you buy new, get a headliner for it. It's worth the xtra 100 dollars or so to not stare at an unfinished surface every time you poke your head in there.

love my snugtop EV. Miss the visibility of no cap but worth it to me for the roof rack and keeps my dogs and gear dry. Washington state...tends to rain here. Whatever suits your needs.

I like having the option of the tonneau up/off for the odd time I use the bed but I like the idea of everything staying organized and dry which a Cap would provide. I like to renovate and "tinker" with stuff around the house but it's not like I'm doing that all the time... I guess getting stuff like dirt or mulch would be out of the question with a Cap, at least not a quick or easy pickup but am I to assume that regular hauling or moving of general around the house stuff is still easy enough to do with a Cap? i.e. drywall, wood studs, snowblower/lawnmower.. any issues with fitting that in the back with Caps?
