Installed some Firestone air bags today. Highly recommend it. I intend to start hauling a couple motorcycles in the bed so I figured they'd help. Just driving empty the truck has a much smoother ride. I don't feel the little jiggles and bumps like I used to. Ride is much less "truck" like.

Ive had my Firestone bags installed for 6 months now with daystar cradles. Originally installed in anticipation of towing all my life possessions across country upon getting out of the military. I towed 4000 pounds in the trailer with five 33 Inch Toyo Mud Terrains in the back without squatting and with no issues. Really helped out a lot. I had my street shoes on for the trip.

I dont mean jamming as much weight you can, I mean hitting the payload and feeling confident really. I like knowing what people tow because my taller 900lb ATV is different then a bunch of dirt etc

Here's where I mounted my fill valves. I put them under the license plate lights with the hope that being there will protect them from my boot toes when climbing in and out of the bed.

Like I said earlier on I towed a trailer with 4000 pounds in it from San Diego to PA and it rode real nice. Totally felt normal.

along with that I used a portable air compressor from Home Depot http://m.homedepot.com/p/Husky-120-Volt-Inflator-HY120/202871788/

Furthermore a lot of people have had issues with leaks. And I just checked mine after about 2 months without checking and it was still the same with no air loss.

I keep one of those little 12v compressors in the rear door pocket of my Access Cab and use that for adjusting the bags and tires both. Did have to get a 12v extension cord to reach the rear bumper but that was less than $10.

No lie. I went to pressurize mine today after install and used my shop compressor at 90 psi. One quick trigger pull and they were at 20+ psi. I basically has to hit 'em with a quick burst and then let air out to equalize them.

I did six round trips with 1500 lbs of pea gravel each trip. I put 40 PSI in the driver's side and 30 PSI in the passenger's side. Rode great and didn't bottom out even going over speed bumps.

I use a small aluminum bike pump that fits in the glovebox. From 0 PSI to 30 is about 15 pumps per bag. I usually leave the driver's side at 15 PSI and the passenger side at 10. Maybe once every 3 months I have to add a couple pumps. If you use good-quality pipe dope on your fittings you won't have to mess with your PSI much.

    Loud as hell URD exhaust!
I installed my air bags today. The install time was about 4 hours. I didn't have access to a sawzall so removing those bump stops took some time. Also the 4 bolts that mount to the arched brackets are a pain to tighten. The overall install wasn't bad just time consuming.

The ride is much better than before. The rear of the truck feels firm but not harsh. I pumped them up to 25 psi just for fun and it still wasn't bad. I'm going to run them at 8 psi for a few weeks and go from there.

My truck has always had the "Bro" stance since I upgraded the suspension but now it's slightly above level. I was considering going to a firmer leaf pack to get rid of the sag but I'm glad I went this way instead. These things are pretty slick.

If I wanted a few inches of rear lift leaf springs with a nice ride, but didn't want to deal with bro lean when hauling, would buying both the leaves and these airbags be a win-win solution preventing me from buying stiff springs? Thanks and sorry if this has been discussed.

You could've just loosened the U-bolts for the leaf springs and removed the bump stops completely in about 2 minutes. ;)

    Looks good.
