    Stock 17" Sport wheels? = 265/70-17

If you have aftermaket wheels or wheel spacers you can go up to 285/70-17 with only minor trimming.

Btw welcome to TacomaWorld! Check my sig for the 559 thread.

I'm pretty sure k9cop is also running aftermarket rims, since he sold his factory rims here:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/bu...oma-trd-tires-wheels-16-inch.html#post3171134

Typically you either need a new rim with more negative offset than the factory rim, or spidertrax wheel spacers, to run a wider tire. I personally favor a 0mm offset rim. Many folks run -6 or -12.

You will be doing a lot of trimming with 295's guys chop the cab mount to fit 285's without rubbing. But that's for off road rubbing not street. You will defiantly need wheel spacers if your running the stock wheels.

I have pro comp 7047 wheels with I think 5.5 offset. BjMoose was right sold my stock wheels. Truck came with stock 16". I have no rubbing issues. But, my truck is a street queen. light offroading to get to fishing holes. If you are going to due major offroading you might want a different tire. You will probably encounter rubbing.
