Anyone have this new toyota tonneau cover offered by Toyota? I have a line on one but its listed to fit only a 2007 and up Tacoma , I have a 2005, I thought they were the same? This product appears to be the extang encore made only for Toyota. I may buy one and try it on my 2005, it relocates the cargo rails lower and mounts to where they had been......any input?

I don't have one but it should fit your 2005 with no problems.

Did Toyota Telly you why they stopped the sale? I'm in the market for a tonneau cover and OEM seems like the way to go.

All that it is another aftermarket company tonneau cover. They just changed the emblem to "Toyota".

I believe these were Toyota Canada only, and yes, it was an Extang product. I thought I had heard they were having quality/warranty issues.

I have one and so far I like it. I've only had my truck a couple of weeks though. It is still listed on Toyota Canada's website. As for quality issues all I can say is I'm glad it's covered by the 3 year warranty. For the price I would certainly hope it doesn't have too many issues.

from what I was told it was it was quality issues and no date was given as to when they would start selling them again. So I ordered a backflip fibermax instead

I have the Toyota Tonneau and do not like it, I think the latching mechanism is half a$$ed.
