I was under the belief that both were forced air induction (regardless of means) and opening up the aspiration was key to maximizing the SC/TC.

The technically are both forced air, the means in which the forced air is being used, are two totally different concepts.

Like i said, a super charger forces the cylinders downwards faster with combustion, where as the turbo forces air in/out with combustion quicker

I just swapped the stock muffler with a magnaflow. I love magnaflow sound, its my favorite. Stock piping. Had a shop just cut out the stocker and weld in a magnaflow. Sounds great IMO.

Thanks! And good he will know what to do then

Mangaflow sounds nice if you wanna not be heard and make your truck a little louder than stock. With the restricted air flow on a tacoma, the magma flow doesn't breath enough to make a nice enough sound. If it was an 8 like my dads ram, he has a magnaflow and it sounds sexy as hell

Ya thats why I like Magnaflow... Sometimes I wanna be sneaky and not have everyone look at me when I roll by... but still sounds sweet with out being obnoxious when I stomp the skinny pedal. I prefer Magnaflow for 6 cylinder and under, Flowmaster for 8s. Those are my favorite combos. For what its worth...

Interesting haha exact opposite for me!
Flow masters for 6, magnaflows for 8, and then I'd never buy a 4 unless it was unnaturally aspirated

Listen to the urd mk2 exhaust at higher rpm...... that whole schpeal about not being heard, not breathing enough and being a little louder than stock is far from accurate.

My magnaflow wil indeed growl at 1500 RPM which is nice when i'm cruising. When i'm normal on the pedal it will be a tad louder than stock but if I wanna make some noise it will come out and really give you mess to look at in your pants... Magnaflow all day..and best of all absolutely no drone whatsoever.

Aero Turbine 2525 or 2525 xl

The XL version is resonated and a little quieter.

    Best sound 100% IMO

    Can't find a urd or 12 & 13 Tacoma's.

I am looking at a banks monster exhaust. It sounds sick. Nice and throaty. Minimal cabin drone. So I hear. I heard it locally and loved it.

Seat covers, weather tech digi fit, bug deflector, plasti dip wheels, magnaflow muffler, and many more to come!.. as soon as i get money. Ill probably go broke typing this...
    magnaflow muffler #12256.
Great sound and cheap price. Dont waste money on all new piping and crap, only thing you need is the muffler.

I love getting in my truck and stepping on the gas now. And it also helps hide our annoyingly loud ticking engines.

I think Ive read the exhaust hangers changed on 2013..and they offer a 2013 TRD exhaust..will it fit..or is it a 2012 carry over and doesn't fit..can anyone confirm TRD make a defintite exhaust that fits the 2013 with out any issues??

Let's put it this way..... People are running two mufflers and or a resonator and sometimes they even remove the magnaflow muffler and use the aero xl due to the resonator.

My point was that not all magnaflows are quiet..... Being non chambered, the larger piped setups can breathe quite well...... Well enough to alter the tq curve.

Magna flow is just a brand..... There's many models and piping sizes.

Just like I'm sure some flow masters may not drone..... Others can be damn annoying at anything above 1500rpm cruising.

I'll have to make a video with the urd setup......

The urd does have a magna 3" in and 3" out

It's just the rear hanger that faces towards the rear bumper where 05-11 has it facing the towards the driverside. I have the gibson and enjoy it alot. Low rumble and during crusing speed on the freeway... nice and quiet in the cabin. I always liked the AFE 2.5" exhaust too. Nice and mellow sound. There's sounds clips of both on youtube.
