Seems like it would make the engine hotter though?

I've got almost 90k on my truck and I think the air filter's only been changed MAYBE 3 times? I usually just take it out and vacuum off the dirt and whack it on something until dust stops coming out of it... :notsure:

alot of guys including myself run the aFe pro dry filter.. along w/ the deck plate mod. Sounds nice and lets the engine breathe better

the oil in the K&N can sometimes screw w/ our MAF sensor

I need to replace my filter.... After the trail runs I did its covered. Knocked it against the pavement for a couple of minutes and dirt was still falling out!

Ive been using the KnN filter for about 40,000 miles now. I cleaned my MAFS and could see no sign at all of oil on any of the components. You get a nice growl at first but after a little while that goes away and i cant attest to any milage gains but i dont mind cleaning it and i dont have to buy filters so WTH.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Did you sell your truck or did you really order Reg Cab sliders for an Extra cab

Good thing I didn't make them bolt on they would of never fit that truck.

    ^ lol.

    I know that feel...

For anyone who has the stock alarm, and has done the grey wire mod, and has changed out the batteries in the remote, AND still are disappointed with the range...

    I did this...

    IMAG0099_zpseb4510eb_0efab0a347b4d652d091ab721f85d6e24c991413.jpg

And I can now unlock it from inside my house about 25 feet away...

You could have used bluepearlsharks keyless entry antenna ext mod, i did and i can unlock mine from across the street. It's made locking and unlocking my truck so amazing and didnt cost a dime!

I did. I have 4ft of wire going up my a-pillar but with a 12 year old remote things are bound to get a little slow.

I just did it because it was $15 and I wanted a backup anyways! So now I have one and the range is better.

    Win win :D

With a new remote, what did you do to program it? Or is there not any programming needed?

I've tried changing the battery and it didn't work, made it worse. I put the old battery back in. The only time my alarm/ unlock key fob ever works is when I'm directly infront of the drivers door and I have to click it about 10 times. It works pretty well if the driver door is already opened, but that defeats the purpose of having it. I'm gonna do the antenna wire "extension" and try a new fob.
