Has anyone ever tested the strength of the regular jackrabbit (not the fullmetal jackrabbit). I was looking into getting one of these its just alot of money to invest. Also if anyone knows of a thread for installation please post a link. Thanks.

Go with a American Roll Cover by Truck Covers USA. Excellent product and customer service is great. I love mine.

Do some searching online and you can find it cheaper. I got mine for less than 1200 with autoanything price matching.

I had the original jackrabbit on my Chev. Had it 8 years and it held up well in many conditions. The vinyl never tore, only dulled somewhat, and overall was good quality.

Some issues, after a few years it became difficult to get it to fully retract without some brute force, and the release dial was a bit sticky.

Overall I would say it was a good product for a retractable tonneau.

Looks like you may have just ordered the canister. You still need to order the rails which is about 170 to 200 more.
