Finally replaced the OEM battery after 8 years. Had to jump it Monday, but then it was fine. Drove to work, drove home, put it on the charger for a few hours, drove to work the next day no problem... Then I had to jump it again Thursday morning. It started at work 3 hours later no problem, but wouldn't start 30 minutes after that. Got it jumped, drove another 20 minutes, and it started fine. Drove it across the street to Advanced, they tested the battery and it was fine other than registering half the CCA it was rated for. Decided to skip replacing it since it tested fine, and fired right up twice (once to test, again to leave). Started just fine to go to back home at fine, and it started fine 4 times today while running errands and getting gas. Then after working inside for 10 minutes or so with the radio on, the radio just shut off.... o_O ok.... radio off, lights work, wtf? Engine wouldn't start. No attempt, not even a click. OK, fuck it. You're getting replaced now!

Thought maybe it was the -11 temps, since it's struggled whenever it got that cold for 2-3 years now, this pattern was weird so I figured now was the time to swap it out.

Not sure what the problem was, since it worked great, then it didn't, then it did... But whatever. At 8 years it's well beyond the life expectancy so it doesn't owe me anything. Got one of these from Autozone, hope it lasts me just as long! :D

finished the bondo on the headache rack and did the wiring for led stop/turn/tail and led reverse lights.
used a terminal block to keep it tidy. lights and grommets go on tomorrow.
made the connections for adding some led work lights at some point.

I have had them on another vehicle for over a year and they're still working just fine. Just gotta take care of them.

I had to replace mine this week too. I was also on the OEM unit from 2006. Considering how long it lasted, I figured why go with something different. Dealership had the TrueStart for $117 - which was much cheaper than I expected.
