UCA hitting coil after new shock install

    So i will try to post everything without leaving anything out...

    I have a pro comp spacer on the front with a stock coil. I recently put new pro comp pro runner shocks on the front (essentially the same as bilstein 5100's) with the adjustment set at stock ride height so as not to be stacking lifts. Now my UCA hits on the passenger side at full droop and literally sits on the coil spring. The driver side at full droop sits maybe a 1/16th away from the coil.

    when installing these we tried to orient them the same way in the spring seat as they came off...ie with the dip in the coil seat facing out or in.

    With just the spacer and the stock shocks i was no where near this close to hitting the coil with the uca

    any ideas? need to rotate coil spring maybe?

    The spacer is causing the suspension to over extend. Remove the spacer.

    The spacer did not cause the suspension to over extend prior to the new shocks. So im guessing my longer shocks are throwing it overboard on the droop combined with the spacer?

    yes. But even if you get shorter shocks, when the suspension trys to extend, the weak link will be the shocks, and can cause this:

    Rotate the coil. Worked for me previously.

    Cant do that with OEM springs, as the lower spring seat is fixed.

    The lower spring seat is not fixed as I have pro comp pro runners... it's able to be rotated as i had to do so on the install

    Ah! I thought you had the basic Pro Comps. You might want to give that a try then.

    I will give it a try then! Im still gonna order the OME 884's this week and rid myself of the spacer. the LR UCAs will have to wait a month or so lol
