Buddy sent me a pic of an lr totally breaking on a 4 runner. At the time when I purchased lr is all I could afford.

After my crawl box is done being installed this week this may be my next purchase. Just want some opinions on icon uniballs

I saw a thread with tons of votes and 80% of them were for total chaos.. Icon didn't have many votes but I'm guessing that's because not many people have icon control arms.. Anyways I decided on total chaos lol..
Also read something about allpro copying camburg but the funny thing is camburg copied total chaos.. Lol.

I say wait for uni ball if you don't have to wait too much longer. But that's me.

They aren't well known or used thats for sure. Probably do great though. IF they made the dust cover for 1st gen ones id say get them. Sadly, 2nd gen option only i believe.

Is there anything wrong with your lr uca's, or are you just switching cause of a picture? Just curious, but honestly I'd imagine that the chances of them breaking are pretty slim. Do you know the conditions they broke under?

Personally for someone anywhere road salt/chemicals are used I'd want a sealed style ball joint. Even with regular maintenance the uni ball is going to wear out pretty quickly just from all the junk on the roads.

Not sure I'm going to switch. Wanted people's opinion who's ran them. I've been happy with my LR.

I switched from Icon to TC before even running my Icon UCA's. I love Icons stuff but the way they designed the UCA is strange. It is designed to be a straight bolt on UCA without any pressing. The bolts kind of pull the whole thing together in the spindle. I could not for the life of me get the driver side installed without stripping the bolt/spindle adapter. And Icon wanted $110 for the part. I ended up getting rid of them in a trade and got some TC UCA's. Not sure if it was just bad luck or what. I love my TC UCA's though.

The weather has not been cooperative for washing the truck. It'll be nice for a few days in a row, then snow/rain/wet roads. So I haven't washed the truck much at all in the past few months.

So I'm practically lifting my gf in and out of my truck when we go out on dates... just so she doesn't get crud all over her nice clothes.

Hahah I guess it could end one of two ways, rough sex, or being single, I guess it's a win win either way. ;)

I've done a mod or two
I changed the ole air filter today, had a nasty NAPA brand one and replaced with a WIX brand filter. I want an AFE Filter, but my current filter actually developed a small tear so I thought it'd be best to just buy the best filter I could find around me.

Are those stuck on with the 3M adhesive ring? How do you lube the uni ball?

Yes, you get 2 sets of adhesive rings so you can service the uniballs.
