It's ironic really. Because as soon as you meet their silly rule (Cover/remove), you can add as many as you like really after you leave...it's not inspected from then on. Thank goodness for that! It's that initial pain in the ass. Better to recon your vehicle stock and then go to town afterwards instead of trying to appease them...:D

    BTW...is it Saturday yet?...:D

I would still need to bring in the BJ. They would just take of the LCA, swap BJs and reinstall. Unfortunately, the while LCA has to come off to swap the BJS so instant need to realign

As far as any wave activity. Party at my house if it ever gets serious. We are 1000 ft above, so safe to say we are safe...

even that whole new safety thing, not even recon is BS

they failed my truck because the mudflaps were "too narrow" and "didn't cover the whole tread"
    sooooo

That's stupid.. Wonder how that works for flood lights on work trucks.. Did you get the older guy or the younger guy? The younger guy didn't really want to take any time to look at anything the one time I had him, the older guy has been awesome for the 4 times I've seen him! He takes the time to look at the lights and ask me about them before he explains to me why or why not they would pass.. Passed my rear diffused Duallys without covers.

Last time he even had me uncover the roof bar and turn it on so he could better determine if it violated any laws. Still said it was fine if it had a light blocking cover on it. Even if it was the ugly home made ones I had on :D

I've still gotten problems at safety, that's why I asked the RECON guy to write the note on my permit.

turn it on to see if it broke any laws? What laws could you break only if it was on?

"Try turn em on, I like see how bright"
    "Nope, can't see shit."

I know right! I was figuring maybe he wanted to make sure they weren't red or strobeish? Since it was a bigass bar on the roof.

Thanks.. But I think I'm gonna just have a shop do it. Even though it is a second vehicle, my wife needs one of them to pick up my son from preschool every day. Can have the truck hung up over the weekend, but other than that, it can't be on blocks too long..

So I thought my friend was playing an April's fool joke on my yesterday. I got a text saying "I just flipped my truck it's totaled" I told him very funny dummy. He sent me a pic of his 4Runner it was trashed, he flipped it 2-3 times. He said he fish tailed and banged the railing near the offramp and well ya. He's fortunate he's okay but his truck oh man. it was a 98 4Runner, on toytec coilovers, flowmaster exhaust, supercharged, SCS wheels, Firestone MT tires, just a very nice truck over all :(

Sucks that his truck is totaled but at least he's not hurt.

x2.. I would think if it flipped a couple times there are not many parts that can still be salvaged.. Those SCS rims are nice (i may go that route and eat the shipping) and a SC is even nicer!!!

The SCS rims are nice. It'll be a long while before I can get a SC. I can dream about it though.

I was thinking that with those 285s the stock flaps may be the sticking point.. but only time will tell.. tick-tock-tick-tock...
