My mom told me not long ago she had to take her car in for loss of power. They found a nest in the intake box. Engines are nice and warm for the little critters especially in the cold winter we had this year.

paper wasp nest in the intake! car was sitting for a year or more with a buddy on deployment. Started it up, funny smell from the exhaust and huge decrease in power. Shut her down and popped the hood. Boy, he got lit up by the remaining wasps. A trip to the hospital for him, tow to the dealership for the car and an exterminator for the remaining wasps. Expensive venture for him. He no longer uses aftermarket intakes. Said they chewed through the conical filter and nested in it. I saw a couple pics. Looked like someone stuck an old basketball on the end of the aluminum intake pipe. Was epic.

Kind of a feeler post here and I have no idea if anyone plays, but I'm thinking about selling one of my guitars. It's a black PRS SE Singlecut that I bought new in January 2008. Asking $525 Obo with hardshell case and a 20 watt Marshall amp. I'm out of town right now but if anyone is interested shoot me a pm and I can send pics on Monday or we could meet up or something.

Does anyone have a set of the Toyota OEM black all weather floor mats that they no longer need/replaced with other floor mats?

I am looking for a replacement set (more specifically a replacement drivers mat). Managed to wear a decent size hole through it over the past few years.

Maybe look into a set of Weathertechs for the front? I wore a hole in my OEM mats as well. Right under the pedals.

I remember looking into them when I first got the truck but if I remember correctly, they don't make a version for the stick shift and they interfere with the clutch pedal.

You can cut for the clutch. I think joneill03 did the same maybe?

On my 2012 manual, the weathertechs fit fine without any trimming and does not interfere with the clutch

I literally have a box of new front weather techs in the garage that came in Friday while I was out of town. Haha I don't need my stock mats anymore. They're in decent condition.. Only 8 months/27k miles old.

So, went to Firestone Sterling this morning to buy a lifetime alignment and get a better alignment done. Walked in and asked the guy if the alignment was good for all Firestone's, etc, and he just happened to mention that they do not do custom specs for lowered/lifted vehicles and will only set to OEM specs.

Told him that I have control arms that will allow for more adjustment but he said it was just company policy. Cancelled the appointment and started to drive home. Got almost to my house and he called and said he talked to his supervisor. The supervisor said that if there was a master tech there that was qualified enough to do custom specs, then they could do it. The guy at Firestone told me his master tech said he could do the custom specs (of course...) He said it might be more beneficial to just buy the one time alignment now and see how it goes instead of buying the lifetime and not being able to guarantee that another Firestone would have techs that could do the custom specs.

He said he would knock off $10 of the $90 one time alignment cost if I came back in. I told him I would think about it and call him back. Not sure what I should do...

Frogsauce mentioned that the one in Springfield does a real good job. It's a bit of a haul that far but might be worth a shot. I work in the Newington area so maybe one day I'll take a couple hours off and drive up and see how they do. I've noticed my right front tire is wearing very strangely. Need to rotate them and get an alignment.

I was going to try at the more local one first and this also made me not want to drive all the way there:

Oh, didn't see that. What about the high-tech place over by the uhaul rental center? I don't think they offer any alignment packages but may be worth a shot to see how much they would charge.
I have a 5 year alignment package at NTB over on walney road but they just get the numbers "in the green" even though I write down what I want on the sheet for the tech.

I just got mine done at C&C auto in sterling, the place one of you recommended a few posts back and I have to say they were great to deal with and got my alignment much better than it's ever been before. Still pulls a tiny bit right on the highway but I don't think that's an alignment issue but rather that the road is actually sloped for drainage b/c it seems perfect on what looks to be flat level roads.

Glad they got you taken care of. Their alignment tech really knows what he is doing.
