So I really want to put a new exhaust on my 04 taco. I was looking for something that is going to give it a nice deep rumble but not sound like a race car or an F350. Also I don't want the sound to be to overpowering inside the cabin to where you can't hear. I wasn't really sure which thread to post this in but share your thoughts on this subject.

I would vote for flowmaster but it's really a personal choice. Take a listen on youtube, I believe you will find a few examples.

I had on my 02 tundra V6 , the same engine as your tacoma . I installed a Flowmaster with a K&N air intake system and let me tell you It sounded really sweet , slight rumble , but when I opened up the throttle the K&N and Flowmaster screemed and sounded amazing . You could hear me coming and engine sounded really healthy and strong . Im planning to put a Flowmaster on my Tacoma , I Already installed the K&N air intake .

If you search on tacomaworld I believe the flowmaster exhaust will actually cause you to lose a couple of horsepower. I think a magnaflow will actually give you a couple of hp.

Spectre air filter, 2 1/2" custom exhaust magnaflow muffler.
Just put a Magnaflow and 2.5" exhaust with a Spectra high flow air filter on and the truck opened up. It has a nice deep tone that is not obnoxious.
