Would you recommend dual exhaust for a Magnaflow?

i'm not too sure, only because i've never actually heard any on a v6. i made that mistake thinking i could base my preference on youtube videos..i was wrong! i have a 4 banger and thought that by hearing the vids it would give me an idea of what i wanted, so i went with flowmaster super44 and i was really disappointed. my best advice is to find somebody with a muffler you're interested in and hear it in person. anything would sound better on a v6 for sure though. don't rush, find the right muffler...hope i helped :)

I have a flowmaster muffler on my '09 (v6) and it's great. I haven't noticed any loss of power like some people say could happen. It makes a nice sound that isn't too much. If you are looking for your truck to sound different and don't really care about getting a whole exhaust system, buy just a muffler of whatever brand seems best for you. It will sound good and be a lot cheaper than buying a whole new system.

I have a magnaflow with duel pipes out the back bumper... I love the sound I couldn't be happier, it's meaner sounding when you get on it and it's mellow enough while at cruising speed. My wife says it's just a tad to loud for her taste but she's learning to live with it.

I have a single magnaflow stainless. I'm very happy. Nice quite growl at idle and low end. Then when u reach above 3k on the road it really opens up louder and nice.

Thanks ill definitely look into the magnaflow, was it a fairly easy installation? did you have to add anything to the actual tail pipe? what kind of exhaust tip are you using?

Its the tip is a polish stainless tip that is already welded on the end. I should mention its not just a muffler its a full cat back exhaust. Install was easy. The most annoying part was the nuts for the o2 sensor were seized but easy fix with Toyotas design. Just get a wiz wheel and cut off the nut and stud. The new exhaust already comes with new studs and nuts. Its a good investment

There's a bunch of flowmaster haters on this site. I have a flowmaster 40, and have heard a bunch of different mufflers. If you don't want a ricey sound, go flowmaster

I have no dog in the fight but I've heard two Magna Flow 14s, one on the 3.4 and one on a 2.7... and it sounded deep and throaty. Not ricer at all.
