Still waiting for my 2014 TRD Sport to arrive...

In the mean time, I bought an Escort 8500 X50 from Costco. I've had a good experience with Escort in the past (I even remember when they were called Cincinatti Microwave). Anyway, it comes with a curly power cord and I thought a straight one would be easier to route in thru the cracks so as to hide it. Went to EscortInc.com and they have what they call a "Smart Cord". It not only powers the detector, but it makes a bluetooth connection to your phone and then exchanges data so you not only get what your detector finds, but what others in your area found. Nice.

I was all set to buy it, but then I thought about Entune - I'm getting the super-duper Entune with Nav, which also makes a Bluetooth connection to my phone so it can get data.

Anybody have an experience with such a set up? Will my phone allow two bluetooth data connections? (Note - it is a data connection, not just a dialer/speaker phone connection)

I don't have any experience with that set up but I have had multiple BT devices connected to my phone before so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Ya, I guess its more of a phone question than a Entune question, and I think you're right.

    thanks! Larry

LED interior lights. Steering wheel mod. New radio. Amp, speakers and sub woofer.
Your phone may have multiple Bluetooth devices it can can connect to, it only connects to one at a time. It's either the entune radio or the escort 8500.

Not exactly true. I had a Garmin GPS that connected though BT and could pull up weather, traffic, etc..., a BT headset that would connect at the same time and a Galaxy Gear watch. Under my settings it would show 3 connections. Now... whether the OP's will connect to the radio and detector at the same time I dunno. Different devices run differently.
