no way to flop out out of the way like a stock spindle. pro comp probably possible because they mount similar to stock on the LBJ.

I just used a pickle fork to get it out of the diff. have to watch out for the seal though.

Yup.....there is a clear change in width & bulge over the 8" wheel between the two sizes. :( Alas, I made the decision so I'm stuck for about 2 years or 40K plus miles. But I do like the TreadWrights. They grip off road like Super Swampers and the howl they make on the highway is really sweet.

Back spacing question for you guys.

You think I'll clear my DB spindle with a 17x8.5, 4.75/0 offset wheel? trying to order my stuff for my conversion to LT. Would like these wheels to work while I wait for parts etc.

    Yes
The 4.75 would clear a PC spindle but you need to be careful about the tire size too and the 17" rim clearing your tie rod end. I saw a few guys on here running 17's with and without spacers so on my journey for new wheels I tried a 17" x9 w/ 4.5 BS and it would not clear my tie rod ends. I found out that there are at least two slightly different versions of the PC spindles. Moral of the story is buy from a shop that will order in a wheel to test fit if you want to be able to run them with your current spindles.

It looks like it'll work, might rub tire on the UCA. According to the rim calculators, it puts me 5.65mm closer on the inner side to my Tie rod end then my current set up, and brings the face of the wheels in by 18.35mm.

Plan is 35x12.50 MTRs on Method 105 Beadlocks 17x8.5 . The 4.75 BS/0 mm offset will work with the +2 LT and TC spindle guessets. Would be nice if it works with the DB kit, I wanna try to sell these wheels/tires before they are totally gone

I know the spindles are different from Fabtech to PC. Also the Tie rod set up.

You should be fine with the Fabtech spindles. Buddy of mine is running 16's with no spacers. Not sure of the offset tho..I'll see if he knows

You could run 14x14" daytons with the right BS LOL if you could find out the BS/offset that'd be awesome.

Why don't you get the 17x9 105 with the 3.5 back spacing that would be sick ! I really really wanted the 3.5 105's but no store would touch them out here ...and they are illegal and wouldn't pass inspection etc.

Too wide with +2 LT. That's the whole reason I'm not going 3.5LT some of our trails around here are super tight. I'm not expecting any issues over here, tons of fake beadlocks running around here. No one would know the difference.

    Had to run spacers

I was going to get them too but I could not find a shop that would mount them or touch them in any way after the sale IE: balances etc. Apparently there is liability they don't want anything to do with. I would had to of kept my old wheels and tires too to swap out for inspections. I went with the NV instead.

I guess I'll see. Going to just order the wheels and hope for the best! I know it'll work for my LT set up so not too concerned.
