    I do.:)

It's relatively cheap (about $220), it looks great, it freely relocates to accommodate the intake manifold spacer, and it sounds really neato...

...when I used to be able to hear it. ;)

If you want to save gas and have same power, get a scan gauge or ultra gauge and watch the thing religiously. Trust me you will see a jump in mpg.

So true! Best purchase I've made for my V6 Tacoma. Its a game now to see how high I can get my average mpg. I don't think the cars behind me enjoy it in stop and go on the 405... haha but little do they know I'm helping them too.

FYI I get about 18 - 20 mpg doing 85% freeway driving (but most of that is stop and go).

I can get about 315 - 320 miles to a tank before the light comes on.

So with my driving max 35-40mph, technically stop and go, and a lot of up and down hills (so town driving) do you think 13.5 to 14.0mpg is good? I mean when I'm in Phoenix to visit, I get 18 to 20 cause it's higher speeds and longer stretches. So I know how to drive economically, but a gauge would help

Seeing my habits seem to be on the side of economical, I don't know if a 0.5mpg change would be worth the cost you know?

I was getting about the same 14 - 15 mpg driving around town before I got my gauge. It really made me aware of how aggressive driving kills mileage. I now get 16 - 18 driving around town, all depending on how conservative I am on the pedal. And I mean driving like a granny lol. I've realized that I hit every red light anyway, so no need to haul ass to the next stop...

I've never heard of a warm-air intake. Sounds bad for the air/fuel mixture. Anyway, go buy a good drop-in air cleaner, and then take it to a tuning shop. They can work with what you have, and get you better results than stock spec. Won't be cheap, but might be cheaper than buying a bunch of add-on parts. And then even if you do put some other performance mods on it, you should still get it tuned for optimum efficiency.
On a side note, 91 octane from Union76 makes my truck run really, really smooth...

The drop in is what I'm gonna do around 15,000 (when the stock goes bad), and might get a tube later down the roads

I has it lol. I love it mated up to my supercharger on my V6. As mentioned, make sure you buy the powercore dry filter for it, which filters just a good as stock while maintaining ridiculously high flow rate without worrying about fouling your MAF from accidently over oiling your filter. I might also recommend the rain sock, some water got into my filter box when I washed the engine bay and wetted my filter a bit .

The warm air intake on carbureted engines was to keep ice from forming in the intake when the engine was cold. It had a bi-metalic spring to open it when the engine got hot.

Ice is not a problem with fuel injection because the fuel is injected close to the cylinder.
