For the larger 4 runner rack it will probably be closer to 170-180

Not that I know of. You would have to drill. I have never seen a regular cab in person up close though.

There are no mounting holes on the regular cab. I checked mine. You will have to install like the access cab.

You wont be waiting much longer. Should have tracking numbers by this evening for those without powdercoat. The powdercoated ones are still getting finished. The company president and public relations specialist (My Wife and Boy) should be dropping the others off sometime today.

Yeah mine is getting powder coated now. The spray can job just wasn't holding up for as much abuse as I throw at the rack.

That would be a sweet setup. Let me know when you want to get something going.

I will, have you put any thought into more of a basket style?

I can do a basket style. I have a few designs I have messed with, J4RR's being the only one that was actually built, but it is easy to do. I guess eventually I may have a production model, but my interest and most others have been in the flat rack. They make more sense to me on the roof for hauling larger items. For a tonneau where you won't be hauling anything much longer than the bed, a basket makes more sense.

Have we talked before??? I actually have an option designed and am just trying to go through as many scenarios as possible to improve the features on them before I start producing them. Frontrunner offers a similar option but that are tubular.

That link is exactly what i was picturing, I'm just curious how you would incorporate that idea into your design

The ones I have been designing aren't tubular but would be a laser cut piece of plate to form the side wall. It has a cool design in it and various slots, holes, and tabs for attaching tiedowns, antennas, tools, etc.

This thread hasn't had some pictures for awhile. Here are some current projects amongst all the others I have going.

1st gen Seqouia Rack Installed. Still bare metal but the fit was good and turned out great. Mounts to factory holes and requires no drilling or modification to the vehicle.

Progress on the Tundra Bedrack. No Aluminum crossbars yet but you can see the slots for them. Also the lower shelf rails aren't welded in yet but are sitting in the garage. More pictures to come.

The bars were the only thing wearing on mine, leaving them bare, or powdercoating is the only way to go. If you are planning on hauling steel tubing I wonder how well the powdercoat will even hold up. The side rails werent wearing but I didn't use aluminum primer and the paint I used was really runny so they looked really bad. I am getting them powdercoated now. Do really light coats, as flat as possible, and use good aluminum primer.
