I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a S/C for my 2013. The only other performance mod I'll have will be the afe Pro Dry CAI. I've read a ton of posts about AFR and Boost gauges. Do I need these for a pretty much stock install? I won't be doing any fuel pump upgrades or anything else until the factory drive train warranty is expired.

I wouldn't worry about AFR and Boost gauges if you're running a stock S/C. When you start doing things like getting standalone fuel management, injectors, and tuning, that's when you'd want to get some gauges to make sure everything stays in check.

I would vote yes, with alot of the "reflashes" are hit or miss on whether your running super rich or right a stoich or lean unless they've fine tuned their reflash since 09 when I had mine done. I like the comfort of being able to see whether the truck is running lean or rich stock or modified. The boost and vaccum gauge helped me diagnose a vaccum leak a few months ago when I noticed the truck wasnt pulling the usual amount of vaccum with the A/C off truck never stumbled or gave a indication but I saw it on the gauge.

It's my inner need but I like more information than less.

With add-on forced induction I'd be apt to run boost, AFR via a true add-on wideband (AEM UEGO, Innovate LC-1, etc) and oil pressure.

If you're running an otherwise stock truck it's not necessary but it can't hurt. On my STi I have boost, EGT, oil pressure, oil temperature and wideband AFR via an AEM UEGO.

Always run an Afr gauge..... Guessing is for fools when it comes to this part.
Boost is nice and can help u see differences in boost or vacuum over time

The stock fuel pump drops off at high demand..... It just cannot keep up.

Remember not all reflashes are the same.
