    Hey Guys,
I have a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Sport. I installed a 3" pro comp lift (kit #5075b) and i'm tired of the ride quality. I want to Improve my ride and keep the same height. Ive done some research but i just don't seem to Understand lifts all too well. I was thinking of replacing all 4 shocks that came with the lift (ES6000 front ES9000 rear) with Pro comp Pro Runners. Think that would Improve my ride quality? Open to suggestions. Mostly highway use.

You should be able to use the coils still. How much lift do the coils give on its own?

Yeah you should be able to use the 5100 with these coils and set it at 0 or maybe .85 setting

Some coils are softer than others
Some shocks are softer than others

But ultimately.... you'll never get the stock ride quality when you lift a truck.
    LIFT = STIFF ride

So depending on what you expect will depend on what you will have to do to make you happy.

If the shocks don't help....you'll have to change coils.

Sorry but have to disagree there Lift doesn't have to equal a stiff ride. You just have to choose the right components to give you a good ride.

Correct! Since I never had 5100. I can't say how they ride. But i have kings front and rear, and they softer than factory. Even with almost 1000 pounds extra weight. They still ride better than stock. I'd say spend a little more money and get Kings or icons

What do you mean when you say "improve ride quality"??

Are you trying to soften the ride, or make it stiff like a track car?

I can feel just about every damn pebble on the road it's pretty annoying now. I aired down My tires to about 30psi. Seemed to help just a bit.

Looking for springs with a lower spring rate would be a good start.

^^^^^^^+1. I'm setup with Icons cause i want my truck to be a bit stiffer in the first part of the stoke, mostly in front. I want to trust my truck on pavement and in corner so try to avoid yaw. My rear is a bit smoother (thanks Deaver) than stock. Off road, the truck is amazing. The ride is just perfect for me so i would say it si better than stock.

I installed the 5100s with my stock coils on my 1st gen and I have them set @ 1.25 and all I can say is it makes a huge difference on ride quality ( night and day ) much more smoother then stock shocks and better handling and rebound response .

    This!

I replaced my Pro Comp CO's and rear shocks/1''block with Icon CO's, 3 leaf progressive AAL and Icon rear shock and the ride is better than stock. On or off road. Lifted can ride nice. Don't be mislead

Also, a tuned system. Shock and coil combined, will ride better than mixing and matching coils and shocks. Don't waste your time with trying to reuse the PC coil or the stock coil for that matter. Look into a tuned coilover assy, King, Icon, Toytec BOSS Or the newer OME Nitro Charger assemblies.

That's sounds like a better idea, gonna try looking for something tuned.
