I have searched TW fo reviews and only found like 3-4 members using them. Most of them are older threads from when they were released a few years ago.

Any first hand experience on these would be appreciated. Ride quality on the road as well as mild off roading like fire roads etc to go camping.

They look like a great compromise between full blown coilovers and the 5100's. Best price I have found so far is $724.

I currently have these along with the 2.0 with the rears.

Does your whole suspension need re outfitting? I put them at max height and added Deaver's Progressive AAL. I did not have to install aftermarket UCA's.

For ride quality, they ride a lot better than stock, I can't compare 5100 since I never had them before. I have taken them on light off roading adventures in Tahoe and went to Pismo with them and they held up really well.

For now I'm just upgrading the front, I have firestone airbags for the rear. Will probably get new rear shocks but I don't plan to lift the rear. Mainly level the truck, have good ride quality and be able to get in and out of camping and dirt bike riding staging areas.

I'm interested in something like this also. My truck is an '05 DC OR 4x4. I'm not really looking to lift it, but it has 142k miles and needs new shocks anyway. How much better is the coilover setup compared to the Bilstein 5100 with stock coil springs? I do go off road for hunting and fishing mostly. I would want a better ride on and off road. Thanks!

Oh yeah, this is a bone stock truck. It has a topper and that's all for now.

I had those and didnt like them. They did not work well with my ARB Front bumper.

Got them installed with Camburg A-arms along with Fox rears. Ended up having fronts switched out for Camburg 2.5 c/o's and they are so much better.

Another thing about Fox is that I broke one of the rears last week in baja. Broke above the bottom mount :(

I have have the same truck as you with the same miles. I just installed tsb rear leafs and ordered the front coilovers from the toytec lift, they are coming to me set at 1.5" to level the truck. These come with a better spring than stock and are maintenance free, but are not easy to adjust I hear. Now the fox are easy to adjust are rebuildable and better for off road use, while the toytec bilstein adjustables are better for hi-way use I am told.

Were they bad on road or just not enough for off road with the extra weight up front?

They werent bad on the road and would call them stiff. Since I had to nut them down a good amount they bottomed out too much on mex dirt roads.

If you have a stock bumper you would probably be ok. Your getting a-arms also ??

No A arms, just want to level the truck and have a nice ride on road. Stock bumper, no plans to add any extra weight up front.

I'm still indecisive about spending 700 for them and having them ride like bilsteins.

I have them, with matching fox rear shocks (IFP) and i have an ARB bumper up front. I personally got them because i got a killer deal through DSM(650$). they ride pretty nice but on the default setting they dont support my ARB very well, I'm just gonna crank them up. For the occasional wheeling trip and offloading, i think they do very well and ride nice.

Yes I went with what everyone said to get and am running bilsteins and an ome883 spring that raised the front about 1.5"-1.75". It's great when in the stroke but all the little cracks and potholes really jar the truck and rattle the dash.

That's good to hear, I may even bring them down from stock setting so I'm not nose high. I have about 1.75" of rake and I believe out of the box these raise the front around 2".
