Got rid of the short antenna, K&N drop in filter,Just bought some new flat black 17x8 wheels, and some nitro grapplers.
Here's my 2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD as stock picture as I could find. . .
Little Background on the Tacoma. I am the second and final owner I love this truck. Being 21 I have had lots of different vehicles but this one has me hooked. I had a 1996 4x4 blazer(Mint only 35,000 miles) :( when I was 15 it was totaled, then I had a 1993 honda civic wasn't the biggest fan of it drove around for a year sold it, then start building a 1971 chevy C10 pickup truck, when working on the 1971 I bought a 1992 sport explorer to be my daily driver it was a POS, then sold the POS, Drove the 1971 through high school then sold it before leaving for college :( then I drove a 2006 nissan altima which I felt like it was a mom car and now after many years of searching for a Tacoma I found this one. I traded the nissan for it! Found this ad on criagslist older gentleman needed a 4 door car for family, the truck was to small for them. I was the first to call and went to look at it that night. Finally I had a TACO!

Looking good so far... If you're looking for suspension I would check out a full set of Old Man Emu. It won't break the bank and it's far better than most suspension kits on the market. If you're planning to do bumpers then I would try to get a set with the 882 coils. They're slightly taller than the 881s but will help support a bumper. Don't go with the 883s. They're far too stiff for the first gen Tacoma.

For the grill and the bumpers, it's a process of sanding down the chrome. Then applying a paint adhesive to help the paint bond. Then it's up to you what color you paint your grill. I would use semi-gloss black.

For the badges, it's a short process of heating up the badges with a heat gun and then taking fishing line and using that to peak of the badges. For any leftover glue, just use a basic glue removal substance...

    Hope that helps...

Or you could color match it.

This one is mine, super easy job and I think it turned out amazing. Looks good and matches great. I used duplicolor perfect match paint primer and gloss.

what are the steps you took to making your bumper look like this? I want to color match mine and do the different insert similar to yours!

    Sorry, just saw this now!

For color matching the grill i used:
Duplicolor perfect match primer (1 can)
Duplicolor color matched paint (2 cans)
    Duplicolor Gloss (2 cans)
    600 and 800 grit sandpaper

Sand the grill down and spray primer, color matched paint and then gloss.

As for the mesh insert (satoshi) i used a mesh insert purchased from HomerTaco on this forum.

LOL, JK man...your truck is looking good. Check my build on how I went about blacking out the chrome. Its pretty cheap too. you may want to do your flares too. pretty much a permanent solution to get rid of the fade (not that you have any, but later they may start fading)
