For those that have the Baja TX, were there any differences between them and the standard TRD OR in the years they were built other than the obvious?

Baja.....Wheels & Tires, Rear Shocks, Front Springs / Struts (and the Baja Decals which most of the big ones were removed from what I've seen) and finally the little trd emblem on the tailgate.

Any other things that make the package special? Seems it would be pretty easy to "clone" a Baja...The Pro's are now adding such a mix of things from about every package that it would be hard to duplicate one of them.

wrong, Baja's have carpet. I think the other diffs have been covered. Dealers / Gulf States around here added tube steps on most but not part of pkg.. There is one obscure one and that is the Homelink mirror. Maybe it is on the OR too but heard Baja and Limited.

My BAJA has carpet. Did they come with the front skid plate or was that an added option? Trying to figure out if the dealer removed it off of mine and put it on a Limited sitting right beside it before I bought mine.

The TRD Skid plate was a dealer installed accessory, not standard, though most dealers added them.

It should also be noted that the Baja wheels are 16", and they came wrapped in BFG All-Terrain KO tires in a 265/70R16 Load Range D. The suspension added ~2" of lift, and an addition inch of travel over the Off-Road.

Well whatever mine didn't come with carpet and I actually thought it was better that it had vinyl flooring instead. Easier to clean off.

I agree. Love not having to worry about carpet. Especially when you get in and your feet are muddy.

I'd rather have vinyl flooring but have to admit I never had an issue after putting WeatherTech's in.

Yea, mine has carpet but I'd rather have the vinyl frlooring instead. My '03 Ford Explorer Sport Trac has it and it's great after wheelin', just sweep it out and use a wet rag to clean it.
