got a harness that clips into the seatbelt for the husky (tries to help drive). GSD will stay in the backseat if I tell him to. if traveling with both, they go in the back of the rav4 with the pet barrier installed lol.

In his crate tied down in the bed. If it is cold I throw the kennel jacket on. If it is hot, I stick a bowl of water in with him and no kennel jacket to let the breeze blow through.

Mine fits perfectly in my double cab. I love it because it keeps the pup from falling into the floor space and then leaves me plenty of room to cram stuff onto the floor. I have everything from my forestry boots to a toolkit on the floor and it doesnt bother her at all.

If you try them, let us know how you like them. I've got the hammock thing, but I'd like to have something to protect the doors as well.

He rides shotgun unless someone else is there. Then he gets shoved to the back seat.

Frankie the Adventure Dawg likes his Kurgo harness. I keep a sheet over the front seat to control dog hair, but on offroad trips my interior gets so dirty that at some point I don't care.

My dogs love to ride in the bed. But I do worry about them. Its not my truck, but I would like to do something similar and wrap it in some kind of cargo net. Maybe out of pvc piping. This way they can get the wind in their face but Ill also know they cant get out. Of course they would still be harnessed in. Ive seen someone do a pvc cage, which is awesome. But it seemed alittle to bulky.

I have these and loved them at first but stopped using them about 6 months later. They're not recommended for tinted windows, I assume, because of how they attach to the door via 4 plastic tabs that slide down into the window channel. Friction keeps the guard in place and risks scratching film if you're not careful.

My gripe with them is the plastic tabs, otherwise it is great. The tabs are prone to bending against the window track when you're inserting them and makes them a pain in the ass at times. My dog only scratches the door panels if the window isn't fully up, so over time it was easier just to keep them up than fiddle with the Kurgo guards. I was using the Kurgo hammock in addition to the door guards, and now just fold the seats down and lay a dog bed on top. She lays down and stays until she knows we are about to get to our destination.

In short, the door guards work great but the plastic mounting system could be better. I'd be careful using them with tint film. No scratches at all with on the glass itself. Also, if you roll the window down a few inches for airflow, when you roll it back up it usually causes the door guard to fall off. The plastic tabs are only a few inches deep and lift easily with the window moving, easy to tap them back down but not so much from the drivers seat while on the road.

If you have any other questions let me know.

if my daughter isn't riding in the back then that's where the lab goes. otherwise I strap a crate down in the back and he goes in there.

Sorta not an option when you live in the North. My dog would have been pretty pissed off at me for this mornings 40 mile commute to the office as it was 22F outside. Maybe if I had a truck cap. My doggie rides in the back of the Access cab right on the floor. Usually rests her head on the hump.

My guy rides in the bed with a cap with sliding windows, and bed rug mat. Until it gets too cold out, and then he rides shotgun, or in the car.
