I just changed my oil, Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic, K&N Filter, Truck will not run. It starts, gives the normal hum and dies. I am a bit concerned here.

    LOL
did you drain your tranny and fill your oil thus doubling the oil level in the engine?

believe it or not, it happens to people here all the time, and i have even done it personally.

is the oil way high on the dip stick?
have you changed your own oil on this exact truck before?
if you take the same plug out that you used to drain the oil, does oil drain?

X2 on making sure it was the oil that you drained and not the trans fluid.

Yes, I checked that already. I made sure that wasn't the issue. I have a CAI but it ran fine with it before the oil change

so it will start just not idle? hmmmm.... stupid questions but it might be worth a double check, filters on tight, you put the plug back in, put the oil cap on tightly. idk man, subbed for an answer.

SO i rechecked everything, did it all right, so i figured let me check the intake I installed last week, I pulled that all apart, the sensor in the intake was upside down, not sure how I managed that one. Put it back in right side up and the truck fired right up... Thank you all for your responses. Just happy to have it fixed, weird situation though...

This guy^^^ funny man, I made this account before I got the truck, I originally was going to get black, but ended up with speedway blue, no sense in making another account.

Ha Ha, that sounds exactly like the many similar things I have done in the past. Usually right after I have already reassembled 49 of the 50 parts involved then see something is backwards.
