    Haha. Too much. I have the stock roof rack which is like 250 then I added inno universal mounts cross bars and fairing for another 200.

    I have the extended travel icons in the front and the extended 2.0 icon resi's in the rear. I think they are 10". I'm going to get 12" fox resi's in the rear when I get the BAMF relocation soon.

    hmmmm.........thanks for the reply. Just put on my Dakars and received my Icon 2.0 resi's which measured 24" extended. Only 1" longer than my TRD shocks. A little concerned they wont be long enough to allow my rear suspension to max out.

    The dakars actully flex alot but you are limited with the stock shock locations. You really cant go with a longer shock there. You need a relocation for that. And the more flex the more problems like brake extensions, fender trimming, wheel spacers to keep the tires off the frame and shock resi's. Ive been pretty happy with the Icons and Dakars. I just want more. Im sure once I get the relocation I will want long travel and bed cage. TW is addicting.

    I don't really understand what the benefit of running a 12 shock with a relocate kit is? Aren't you just increasing the distance between the two shock mounts? So how do you gain any more travel...? Sure your new shock can extend more... but you just made it farther apart...

    (Sorry if this is a really stupid question)

    From what i understand the benefit is that now you can adjust shock position to match the leafs with travel. That way you are using most if not all the travel in the leafs without having to bump because of a longer shock in stock location.

    Well I mean, why can't you just record your fully extended lengths and fully compressed lengths by flexing out without shocks on, then buy shocks that can extend and compress a little farther? :notsure: seems like it accomplishes the same thing.

    Its a good question. Im sure there is a reason. Ill do some research later or you can post the question up on bamf relocation thread and Im sure it will get answered right away.

    you cant have both in stock location. An extended shock would have a longer compressed length but by moving the upper mounting of the shock you can effect the down/up ratio essentially.

    Hopefully someone will pipe in and say im right. Cause this is what i understand

    Ohhhh I see. Well I suppose that makes sense. I just thought most shocks were available in an assortment of configurations. I know Bilsteins are. I was looking at some 5160s (I think?) with resis and there are pages upon pages of different extended and collapsed sizes.

    Are most fancy shocks (icon, king, fox) just listed as 10",12" ect?

    Not enough
    If your leaf spring without shock installed cycles between 28" extended and 16" fully compressed you would have to limit droop or bump to find a 10" shock to work, with a 12" shock you could use all of the leafs ability( 12" of movement). Does that help?

    No. 12" is the stroke of the shoke, or 10". it's how much movement is available in the shock shaft(+/-). Example: You can order a custom 10" shock with an extended length of 28", but it's compressed length will be 18"(again +/-). If you ordered the same custom 12" Shock, you could have 28" extended and 16" compressed.

    Yeah it was an awesome vid. I cant wait to go back and hit the trail again. The trail changed in just a few months last year. Cant wait to see if anything changed this year.
