Yeah, been hearing commercials on the radio about not running your defrost right off the bat for exactly this reason. Then there it is. Mutherf is right!

No chip there you didn't notice that expanded and caused the crack?

This ^. I go through lots of windshields and touch up paint here.. the windshield cracks always come from chips that spread when the defrost hits them. The "road sand" we use would be more accurately called "pea gravel"

I checked it out yesterday, didn't see any chips or nicks. If there was it must have been miniscule. Oh well new windshield coming my way:D

Ultra-gauge, extra bed D-rings, pop-n-lock, backflip tonneau cover, L-Track bed tie downs, Tech-Deck, mirror riser, and Relentless Fab Tailgate plate
L-track tie down rails installed on the bed sides. Yesterday the rivet nuts arrived via UPS. The BakFlip Tonneau uses the factory tie down rails for bracket attachment. I needed an alternative tie down mechanism. The L-Track seems like the best alternative.

I have 2x 9-inch sections of L-Track left over, where to place??? By the tailgate, or at the cab side of the pickup box????

Tonneau picture shows the Gen2 with the Gen1 in the background. Plan is to keep both!

Modifications Completed (in 18 days since delivery)
    Ultra-gauge
    Cell Phone mount (pro.fit)
    tail-gate hose clamp on hinge
    Pop-N-Lock tailgate lock
    4 additional bed D-Rings
    Bed-mat with D-ring cutouts
Mini-D-rings on bed storage box bolts
    BackFlip F1 Tonneau cover
    L-track tie down rails

    Modification Todo List:
    Debadging the sides
    Fog light Hi/Low mod
    400W AC anytime mod
    100V outlet in console
Better speakers/Amp with existing head unit

Place them in a box and send them to me. :woot:

I've got a Roll-X and I'm in the same boat losing the stock track.
    I gotta do this.

the question was more rhetorical. They will be used. Actually I am thinking about buying at least 2 more 12" sections so that I can mount one on each side vertically at the tailgate on the tail light enclosure, along with the existing 2x 9" sections vertically against the box at the cab side.

Once I started looking at possible options, it was hard to say stop.

Why did you get one? Just something fun or do you have an insurance type reasoning behind it?

Part for fun, part for just in case. You never know. And it was super cheap @ $60 so not a huge dent in the wallet.
