It is! I was born in Pretoria in '91 and moved to the states in '99. I've only been back twice, but plan on going there this Christmas.

I can vouch for the mileage hit as well. 16.9 down to 14.1 in mixed driving with no other changes than moving from P265/70/16 to LT265/75/16 C load Duratracs and a decent skidplate in the front.

Out on the open highway the difference isn't as bad. I was getting 18.8 and now i'm down to 17.3 which is better than some around here but IL. is flat so...

Love the look. Saw some at the tire store during a balance/rotation visit.

But with "0" miles of my daily commute off-road and 99% highway, I don't think I could get used to the highway roar.

They are actually very quiet. Just as quiet as the rugged trails I had.

They are steelcraft 5" oval nerd bars part number 430909B and I do love them! They don't have manufacturer markings on them but who really cares right?

So yeah, you guys were right. MPG dropped from 18,1 to about 14.4. I cannot live with that huge drop so I am going back to 265/70/16 but the KO2's does not come in that size yet so I decided to go with the Wrangler Duratrak in a 265/70/16. I am getting these tires swapped out today at 4. Just hope the duratrak's are just as good as the KO2's....

The KO2s are some heavy tires for sure I know with the 275 70 17 and stock sport rims it's like 90lbs a wheel. But they are load e.

The KO2 should be out in the size within a couple weeks I heard, just a heads up maybe try to get your tire place to get an order in for them and see when they can get them.

Yea the guy that installed the KO2's also commented on the weight of the rubber. I also noticed it that the truck was a little lazyer out of the line.

I think the 265 70 16s might be coming in a c load but not totally sure. Would have to look up the tire sizes that they will release here soon.

Nice lookig tire but I will never get a load range E tire ever again. Rough ride and loss of mileage on freeway and in city with my last tires(Toyo A/Ts). Ill stick with C.
Load range E is overkill for a truck as light as the Tacoma, there made for 3/4 or 1 ton pickups.

I have toyo now. Loved them. But apparently i need a thicker sidewall. I had a sidewall failure with my toyos. Will be trying the new bfgs.
