Westin Bull Bar

I have a westin cattle gaurd on the front of my truck and the other day my sister hit the back of the camper and it dented in the bottom bar. I aint taking it to some auto body shop so he can rip me a new one by overcharging me. is it possible to wrap a chain around it and tie it to a tree and then put it in reverse and fix it that way? PLEASE say yes.

 

I would recommend you not doing that but it's your truck.

 

You should throw up a pic so we can see the damage. It would be easier to give you suggestions that way.

Make sure to take pictures of the tree on top of your truck when you're done.

 

Remove bull bar completely, kill two birds with one stone.

 

I take it I wont do it. Haha alright. I shall post pictures. it's depressing, my truck's my baby. The only reason I asked if i could do it that way is because it was suggested. it's not major but you can tell.

 

that bullbar steel is thick and real strong in tube form so if you did try this most likely you'd wind up splitting the bullbar at the bend. I would take it off and forget it.

i had one of those bars back in 2004 and parallel parking, i tapped the car in front of me... nothing happened to their car, but the westin bull bar dented my front bar and caused me more damage than what i paid for that damn bull bar...

needless to say, i ended up taking that off

 

I have one on mine and it is a heavy steel tubing. Unless you're being scarcastic, a Westin bullbar is in no way as weak as you say.

 

Yes, not only do they spread would-be isolated damage to the entire front end of the truck, they are also hideous.

 

That's funny because in '09 I threw a blanket between my bullbar and my stepson's '95 Eldorado and pushed him 7 city blocks home. Not a scratch.
