    I get how that can be bothersome, its not jsut an issue here but on all of my bike boards. I am on one very international chat board for MV Agusta motorcycles and the same thing happens. US-Canada is usually in jest but there are some people out there who dont understand the humor or are not fans of the western cultures and dont get the jokes and can become pretty upset.

    We Americans give each other shit constantly, we don't get butthurt over it, we hand it right back, within the internet realm, it's harder to convey the kinds of inflections that are easily spotted face to face and people can take things the wrong way, I get that. Hell, I give you an example and invite the kind of crap that I get.

    Gays make up about 3 percent of the population in SF, the rest of the country thinks it's full of homos and since SF is the bastion of liberal politics, we get BLASTED for that, the rest of the country HATES us! At the same token, SF people think that the rest of the country outside of the big cities are a bunch of inbred, dumbass rednecks.
    It's always been that way and it will always be that way, I don't get butt hurt over it because I know my city is pretty cool and embraces diversity and it's weirdness.
