For those who wander, I wrote of what I know. And those who heed me will not have to relearn it.
I always thought the purpose of this forum was to help other Tacoma enthusiasts (the ignorant and the "all knowing"). For the most part I am ignorant, but I am willing to learn and share what I have learned.

I, too, meander in the ranks of the ignorant. I am here to learn. When the time is right, the student will become the teacher.

Hey, I wanted to bump this thread in the name of spreading the word. This is an interesting approach. I only found out about rep because I was looking at my User CP to try to turn off the email notices (and I saw it was set to no email, hmmm, another matter for another day. I got distracted by something shiny -- reputation!) but I also noticed my recent reputation comments (thanks to whoever commented 'lol' at the bald joke).

I couldn't find a way to see all of my rep points. That would be useful to see what people liked. Any way to do so?

It shows the last 5 rep points you got in the UserCP...so if you see less than 5, then that's all the ones you got.

To turn off the auto email things, go to Edit Options in the cp and set thread subscription mode to 'no email notification'.

Yeah, what is the little green bar supposed to do? It doesn't seem to be very sensitive.

It was probably from using too many big words that people cant understand and weird abbreviations for technology. I'm just now learning how to use my cell phone and you're spouting off all kinds of letters and numbers that make no sense.

Maybe TRDeity is right, maybe this is the first shot fired in the war between Texas and the Alliance

I'd like to see some more features with the rep system. I want to see what everyone is rated and maybe a trader rep system. Maybe a way to sort a category by number of reps given. That way, I could easily go and find some of the more helpful posts.

Click on Members List above and then click on Reputation to put them in order...

The title bar of the rep section says 12 points total. Maybe I only have one that included a comment?

I did that. Thus my confusion. It's in the Messaging and Notification section, subsection Default Thread Subscription Mode.

I took a moment to sort the Members List by reputation. It appears everyone has the same description "on a distinguished road". I'd like to be in my Taco on the road, but unfortunately I'm on my butt in the office chair right now.

antennas? Whats that? Our cell phones are state of the art, we use only the best tin cans and high tensile strength string. I dont know what you back country Texas hicks use but we can hear each other as far away as 50 feet. You poor ignorant Texans...
