haha! nice one. my boat does look like a dinghy compared to his. we're gonna do a little fiberglass patch this thursday then take it back out this weekend to a lake that is much windier. Hartwell sits low and got barely any wind last weekend. Jocassee sits in a large valley/bowl at the top of the surrounding foot hills. it's really nice, the mtns go directly into the lake and since it is high it is very windy. its cool when it starts to get dark, the mist rolls in and starts to blanket the lake and the landscape is amazing. you expect to see an ancient viking ship coming around the bend at any minute. i'll try to get some pictures. unfortunately there is little warning before a storm. last summer a father and his 11 year old son were sailing in an 11 foot boat when a storm came up and flipped the boat. the son was wearing a life jacket but it got caught on the mast and he was dragged down with the boat. they were at the deepest part of the lake which is 450 feet. it was a very sad story. but our boat is stable, unfortunately it is being piloted by inexperienced fools so.... we'll see what happens. Yeah, I see what you're saying. I don't know how a guy that hasn't posted in such a while can be in the top 10. If shit like that is going on, then I agree, get rid of the rep system.

Seriously though, you do need to have one handy. Everyone has a story about someone getting caught in their seatbelt, but we all know seatbelts save lives.

sports authority has life vest on sale. we have 5 in the boat now but me and my roomie just bought really nice ones. $100 body glove jackets 40% off so i got a good deal. its nice to buy stuff at the end of boating season, you get good deals. although in 5 years of constant boating and drinking i have never worn a life jacket, i dont know that i'll wear one while sailing. seems like a pain in the ass, and i'm a very strong swimmer, so the only time i would actually NEED it is if i was knocked unconcious. i got mine mainly for learning to wake board, which i hope to do this month

Sorry ND, I was off sailing for 5 days and must have missed it. BTW I am jealous of daysailers. As nice as Slow Dance is I really miss having a small boat to just go sail around on a whim. I'll do a search and get back on track.

Yeah, I agree, why even have a rep system if you're gonna leave protein bar up there. That's how you discredit a rep system right there. IMO, it was funny to put him up there, but you guys are right to leave him up there this long is unacceptable.

I just went through every post in this thread, I would like to know what happened from the beginning post to the end one.

For me I add what I know, or what I have gone through on my ride.
As for the rep points ??? I finally know what they are and true some advice was given to me, and I did not react on it, but that will change.
But how can rep points be given on "nothing". I have watched the bars grow and grow and nothing really to show for it.
If I get rep points, fine, if not that is fine also. I am still going to post what I think about an area.
