Hobby section?

I dont know how many people are interested, but i was thinking a hobby forum would be cool. Then maybe once people start posting in it divide it up into more specific forums... mountain biking, camping, computers etc... whatever people are into. Personally i'm trying to get into mountain biking and wouldnt mind discussing it with other members. I know there are mountain bike forums out there that i could go to but i like it here. I like the members and the community feel and would rather chat on here than go abroad Anyway, its just a suggestion.

Hey ndcouch, what kind of mountain biking are you interested in? I'm into downhill mountain biking, as I don't believe in pedaling. LOL!

exotic cats? i just dont see you as a cat guy... maybe a polar bear guy.... Anyway, i personally like cats cause of their "i hate you" attitude. I like the Pixie bobs (small bobcats) and theres another one that i cant remember the name but it looks like a small jaguar. those cats are cool as hell cause they are one step away from owning a "big cat"

BTW, i lik the big foot comment, made me laugh during a meeting

My brother is big into downhill. I came a from a BMX background and i'm too old for all that jumping and busting. If i werent so old and useless i'd get back into BMXing before i got on the mountain. I'm trying to get into XC and All Mountain. i'm currently trying to get some endurance, which is difficult. I have an 06 Iron Horse Warrior Pro. Its a great bike, the 06 Warrior is much more hardcore than the newer ones. its full suspension which is really REALLY hard to get use to. I can barely jump anymore and standing up to pedal isnt even an option.

So you and GT like the hobby idea?

I do all sorts of cycling...XC, road, tandem, uni. I worked at bicycle shops for almost half my life and I'm only 26!

I'm ready for some other discussions too...wood working, home improvements, exotic dancing. Those all sound good to me.

Bikes I own: Cannondale Six13, Specialized Rockhopper, Western Flyer Tandem, GT Ruckus, Klein Adept, and some crappy unicycle.

When I upgraded to the Tacoma, I think that I can finally say that my truck costs more than my bikes!

I know this is gonna make me sound gay but those cats are awesome Mike! How big do they get? I like the exotic cats that are the size of small to medium size dogs.

I was actually looking online for pixie bobs (i know its a gay name). They are really cool cats, they are just like bobcats but a little smaller. However, i have no idea what they're temperment is and no site would list a price. I have a feeling those cats are expensive as hell but i dont know. Not to get to personal but how much does a hybrid like that run, generally?

Pet quality like Nala and Pumbaa run $300ish for females $400ish for males.
Show quaility range from $600 for females and $850 for males.
Breeder quaility female is $1200 and $1400+ for males.

The breed is called Bengal. Females range in size from 10-12 pounds.
The males range in size from 16-20+ pounds. They were both 18 months old as of yesterday. They are MUCH more active and busier than a "normal" cat and extremely smart. Noraml cats play 30-45 mins and sleep the rest of the day, these guys are up and paying hard for about 6 hours.

They are also a bit more wild in temperment and do CRAVE raw meat all the time. And they get it, usually ground chicken or turkey sometimes cut up steak. Brings out the inner leopard!

They are leag as pets since grampa who was a full wild cat, is 4 or 5 generations back. Anything closer to the actual wild cat requires a special license and most vets wont treat them. My vet will, they love wild cats and actually suggested this breed to me.

Savanas are even bigger, they are a cross between ocelots and domestics. Have LONG legs, HUGE ears and weigh over 45 pounds. They cost over $2400. I almost got one, but then Pumbaa chose me and that was it.

Bicycles? Nah, we need a mountain unicycling forum. That's for the manly men that don't need that other training wheel anymore. Or else the cheap guys that have to buy their bikes in installments.

I'm learning to unicycle. Got a ways to go.

Send us pics after you try the mountain unicycling. We'll stick them in the manly man photos category. I'll sign your cast too.

I love mma. If enough chatter happens in whatever I call the general hobby/interest category, I'll split it off into its own mma section.

I really like the idea of a hobby/interests section. May I be so humble as to suggest hunting/outdoors and places to go offroad.

Hey, I think I just got dissed by da man! But seriously, they don't do casts these days. I did have to have surgery for torn knee cartliage after I started learning last year. My knee was already weak from an older injury where I tore my ACL. But now I'm all healed up and ready to go again. It was the physical therapist I worked with last year who first told me about mountain unicycling. That's nuts.

Maybe I should just stick to riding horses offroad.
