I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
and what would stop someone from going into the other section? wouldn't want someone to judge you cause of where you post either.

i think that wouldnt work, instead of that, republicans would go and rant in the democrat section and viceversa

I suppose what I was getting at is that I don't think I'm out of line by suggesting that most people who love guns tend to lean pretty heavily to the right. So it would most likely be a heavily right-leaning political thread. That would be like putting a political thread in a Prius forum: It would be heavily left leaning. So if there's to be a political thread, it should at least be planted in a neutral subject, or even just by itself.

One more thing I'd add is that the reason so many political threads on here go downhill fast is because the posts are seldom about actual politics. Most of them are just plain dumb like:
Or something like that. It would be better if people would post stuff like
Followed by reasons why you don't like it, like it, or whatever. I think most people are all for rational discussion. But when the discussion itself doesn't have a lot of merit, that's when things get nasty.

Okay since no one can make up their minds (politics should not = complaining) I will start. I label myself a fiscal conservative and socially liberal. I know this will open up a can of worms but these are my opinions.
-I believe in high regulation on hand guns, but not on hunting rifles, shotguns or other hard to conceal weapons.
-I am personally against abortion, but it should not be my decision to say it is wrong, I guess that means pro choice.
-I am not gay and don't understand why someone would want to be gay, but I support gay marriage (whatever floats your boat).
-I don't understand why people think the government should give them money, hard work pays off... trust me six figures.
-I am anti-union, if you have poor performance send em packin. Jobs will not invest in someone just to let them go, unless their work sucks.
-I voted for obama, but would have voted for mccain have he been running against gore, kerry, hillary. I just feel obama is the right guy, very intelligent and decisive. I would not have opposed McCain, I think he would have done fine, just felt Obama was the better choice.
Overall these are just some of my views. I would be surprised if everyone agrees with them, thats why this country is great.

Street racing would be only one of the additional topics to go with politics. Others should include firecrackers, beer, women, and lawn mowers. Lawn mowers because I like them.
